It was a great year and it will be a hard act to follow. On January 8th the Board of Directors met at our home to try to hit the ground running for this year. When the meeting ended, I was really impressed with who I would be working with. Vice President: Bob Ambrose, who did such a great job as our tour director last year. Secretary: Louise Baerresen, who has served as our secretary in the past, (she will also help keep me in line). Editor: Sharon Pierce who has some good ideas and has already shown her editorial skills in the January Gra-Neva gram. Treasurer: Bill Gleason who has been doing a great job as our treasurer since before I joined the club in 2003. He still hasn t purchased a new car using the club s funds. Tour Co-chairmen: Bill Mitchell and Steve Turnsk. Bill knows the back roads of this area like nobody I've ever met. Steve is the man with the of skills you would like to have with you on a tour. Membership: Aaron Johnson, who due to prior commitments was not able to attend. Aaron was our president twice and also our vice president. He is employed full time and father of a nearly three year old son but is never too busy to contribute to the club. Also in attendance with their valued inputs were: Sandy Hundemer and Ron Pierce. In closing I would like to remind you: LEAD A TOUR. HOLD AN OFFICE and remember, IT S YOUR CLUB! Drive that A Ted Baerresen Items for the newsletter can be Emailed to: sassygolddust@yahoo.com Please check www.granevaas.com for the Newsletter On-Line. Sunshine Report Jan Westmore has been having some medical problems and will be having surgery January 31st. She s in our prayers. Speedy recovery Jan!! If anyone has information re: a club member who is ill, or needs congratulating, etc. contact me, Jackie Osborne @ 273-7571 Gra-Neva Gram 2.

General Meeting Minutes January 26, 2012 Model A Ford Club of America: Gra-Neva A s Chapter The meeting was called to order by President, Ted Baerresen at 7:00 p.m. at Penny s Diner in Grass Valley. Vice President: No report Secretary: Minutes of the October meeting were approved as printed in the Gra-Neva Gram. There were no minutes for November or December, as those were not regular business meetings. Treasurer: Bill Gleason gave his report. He announced that there are now 46 families in the club. ACCC: For any information re: ACCC, log on to: ACCCdefender.org Editor: Our new editor, Sharon Pierce, announced that all members (except those who do not have a computer), will receive the Gra-Neva Gram via email starting with the MARCH issue. Any information you would like to have in the newsletter, please send to Sharon by the 5 th of each month. Membership: Four members have not renewed their membership this year. Raffle: Karen Mitchell won the 50/50 drawing for this month. Tours: Bill Mitchell announced the upcoming tours. See the Tour section. All members should be involved in planning tours, so put your thinking caps on and plan a tour. A tour doesn t have to be complicated, just lead us to one of your favorite places. It is a fun way to spend a day. Bill and Steve Turnsk will answer any questions you may have regarding tours. Era Fashion: The club needs someone to fill this slot. Tech Talk: If there is anything technical you would like to know about Model A s, contact Ron Pierce (Sharon) by email or phone. Ron will be happy to share that information with us at the next meeting. Steve Turnsk talked about how fragile Model A cylinder heads are..the do s & don ts. Old Business: The 2012 club roster is now available. The roster was given out at the meeting. Once again, THANK YOU, ARDY for all the years you ve been responsible for printing the roster..by the way, this was Ardy s last edition of our roster, so we will be seeking a new volunteer for this job. Come to the next meeting and pick up your 2012 membership roster. New Business: Please send any club-related information you would like to appear in The Union newspaper to Publicity Chair, Denia Hubbard. - Bill Gleason announced that the club still has a few magnetic Gra-Neva A signs left. They are a good way to advertise and maybe get new members for our club, when we go on tours. The signs sell for 2/ $15. If you are interested, call Bill G. - The subject of Club vests came up. Ginny & Bill Gleason wore their vests to the meeting. They are good looking Wrangler denim vests. Aaron Johnson will look into the cost of the vests. - The subject of Historian came up. Do we need a historian? Maybe have the history of the club archived by a vendor? Do you have any ideas on how to deal with all this information? Let us know. - Bill Toensing suggested that we hook up with other Model A clubs on tour days. Gra-Neva Gram 3.
