Lafayette Chapter News Page 2 of 6 From the President Compatriots: It is time to start a new year for the Lafayette Chapter of Kentucky Sons of the American Revolution. With your support and guidance it will be a year filled with service, recognition of scholars and students, grave markings, education, and good fellowship. I am open to suggestions and help from you in continuing the proud traditions of this chapter and the state society. Meetings will be announced according to the calendar that was presented to you with additions and corrections as the year progresses. Bob Hughes will be newsletter chairman and he welcomes information and assistance from all of us. Let us know what is going on in your life in SAR and other activities that would interest our members. I expect the committee chairmen to keep us well informed of their projects and what we can do to make them successful. The projects for the year were explained to state and chapter officers last fall in Williamsburg. We want to obtain the best scores we can and participate in the activities in a positive manner quality, not quantity makes a good effort for the chapter. We need to acquire new members and get the present ones more involved. My intentions are to have a variety of programs at different locations so as to get everyone involved in the chapter activities. Be sure to volunteer before you are drafted so you can choose the activity that you feel is best suited. We are a great organization with a proud heritage and I look forward to serving you this year. And, remember the national meeting is coming to Louisville in 2015. Yours, Ted Kuster, President
