Judge Hyde called the meeting to order. The invocation was led by Justice McCoy. The pledge of allegiance was led by Justice McMullen. Justices present: Blackwood, Coney, Denton, Elliott, J. The motion 18-I-30 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 14-OR-37, REDEFINING THE AREA ZONED BY PULASKI COUNTY WITHIN THE LAKE MAUMELLE WATERSHED, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Justice Denton made a motion to adopt the item, which was seconded by Justice Blackwood. Mr. Will Gruber of the County Attorney s Office explained the item. The motion 18-I-31 AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE SCHEDULED PULASKI COUNTY QUORUM COURT MEETING FROM MAY 22, 2018 TO MAY 24, 2018. Sponsors: Justices R. Green, Denton Justice Keith made a motion to adopt the item, which was seconded by Justice Coney. The motion passed by a roll call vote. Justice Massey made a motion to suspend the rules to place Item 18-I-26 on the third and final reading, which was seconded by Justice Denton. The motion passed by roll call vote. Mr. Justin Blagg, Director of Quorum Court Services, explained the item and answered questions from Justice Keith. Justice Stowers explained that the Quorum Court members are not salaried, but are paid a per diem for their meetings. The motion Vote to adopt: 12-1 McMullen, Robinson, Stowers Nays: Medlock Ms. Ethelene Johnson addressed the Quorum Court regarding flooding issues in the Dick Jeter area. Justice Massey asked if it would be possible to have the Corps of Engineers come speak regarding this issue. Judge Hyde said there was a study done that he can pass on to the Quorum Court members. The meeting was adjourned. 5
