Key objectives of cluster policy in Europe Most EU countries have national and regional policies and programmes in support of clusters The European Commission is assisting regions and Member States in developing more world-class clusters in Europe for the benefit of SMEs The European Commission is promoting cluster cooperation across Europe - to facilitate SME internationalisation and growth and - to support the development of new value chains and emerging industries

Cluster Cooperation Outlook with Thailand and ASEAN countries New European cluster partnerships to be established early 2019 may target cooperation with Thailand and ASEAN countries Recent survey showed that 58 out of 241 European clusters expressed interest for cooperation with ASEAN countries EU Gateway / Business Avenues and ECCP joining efforts for future events in South East Asia
