FISCAL IMPACT The cost of an election is based on the number of registered voters. Sausalito currently has 5,352 registered voters. The County Registrar of Voters has submitted revised estimates that the cost of the November 2017 election would be approximately $7.00- $7.50 per registered voter or $37,464-$40,140. Staff does not anticipate any costs associated with filling the Council vacancy by appointment, with the exception of the noticing cost which was approximately $2,000.
