However, most of the information is either irrelevant/useless. For individuals who are independently wealthy or have no intention of working, EU entry is easy. 6.13 Are you aware of any specific reason why you were recruited under a different program than the EU Blue Card? Based on my qualifications and salary, I SHOULD have been offered the EU Blue Card on at least two separate occasions. However, I was not offered the card nor did any of my employers propose the option. 6.14 The Blue Card Directive sets a number of admission conditions which applicants must fulfil to be allowed into the EU: 1) a work contract or binding job offer of at least one year; 2) a salary of at least 1,5 times the average gross annual salary in the Member State concerned; 3) proof of relevant professional qualifications or fulfilling the national legal requirements Do you consider that the admission conditions of the current EU Blue Card Directive are adequate? The validity of the card should be extended and uniform across MSs, transferrable across all-sectors of the labor market (i.e. a 'scientific' Blue Card should also be valid if a person changes jobs and work as a 'economist', and renewable regardless of current employment status. 7 QUALIFICATIONS 7.1 Do you consider the current procedures for the recognition of non-eu qualifications adequate? I do not know 7.10 Are you employed below your qualifications in your current job? 7.11 Was your qualification recognised in the Member State where you work?, it was recognised at the same level as in the country where I obtained it, but at a lower level than in the country where I obtained it, but I had to do additional training, it was not recognised 16

I have no comment as my qualifications have never been questioned and they have been fully recognised in every EU country in which I have lived and worked. 17
