21. There are two different points of view about building a wall along the United States border with Mexico. Which one do you agree with more? [ROTATE] Some say the only way to secure the border with Mexico is to build a physical wall that stretches the entire territory, and that is the only way we will ever be able to ensure true border security 23.8% Others say there are a host of ways we can secure the border with Mexico, and building a physical wall is an outdated concept because the use of new, advanced technology will be more efficient and cost effective 51.6% Neither 15.5% Unsure 9.1% 22. Have you read or heard anything lately about the program called the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals also known as DACA? [ROTATE] Yes 78.2% No 15.9% Unsure 5.8% ***Among those who have seen or read about DACA **** 23. And what specifically have you read or heard about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA program? [OPEN END] redoakstrategic.com Page 7

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA was an executive action implemented by President Obama in 2012 for nearly 800,000 people who arrived to the United States as children and are here illegally. DACA temporarily protected them from deportation, allowing them to work and live without fear of being kicked out of the United States. In 2017, President Trump announced he would end DACA. Unless Congress acts soon, those 800,000 young people, or Dreamers could lose legal status and start getting deported. 24. Do you believe that President Trump ending the DACA program was the right or wrong thing to do? [ROTATE] Right thing to do/strongly 18.3% Right thing to do/somewhat 20.1% Wrong thing to do/somewhat 16.2% Wrong thing to do/strongly 37.9% Unsure 7.4% If the wrong thing to do. 25. And why do you think ending the DACA program was the wrong thing to do? [OPEN END] 26. There is a discussion in Congress about a potential immigration compromise that will protect the 800,000 Dreamers, allowing them to stay legally in the United States. In addition, this bill will increase border security through enhanced techniques like incorporating the use of advanced technology. Would you support or oppose the passing of this legislation? [ROTATE] Support/strongly 25.6% Support/somewhat 44.2% Oppose/somewhat 11.6% Oppose/strongly 8.1% Unsure 10.6% redoakstrategic.com Page 8

27. Thinking about what Congress does next.which of the following statements would you say is closest to your preferred Congressional action on immigration? [ROTATE] Pass a stand-alone DREAM act, with immediate protections for Dreamers 29.8% Pass protections for Dreamers with increased investments in border security 32.8% Build a complete border wall with limited and temporary protections for some Dreamers 17.6% Build a complete border wall with no protections for Dreamers 9.5% Unsure 10.3% 27a. [FOR THOSE THAT ANSWER #3 or #4 TO Q27] At this point, building a wall along the U.S./Mexico border would cost an estimated $30 billion, funded by U.S. taxpayers. Knowing this, would you still support the construction of a wall? [ROTATE] Yes 76.0% No 11.0% Unsure 13.0% 28. In your personal opinion, what should be the main reason for increased border security? [ROTATE] Eliminate sex trafficking 10.4% Reduce drug trafficking into the United States 24.5% Keep illegal guns from being smuggled across the border 4.0% Prevent individuals who are seeking temporary work from entering the United States 1.9% Stop those individuals attempting to illegally cross into the United States to stay permanently 30.0% Prevent terrorists from crossing the southern border into the United States 21.1% Unsure 8.2% 29. As part of an immigration compromise, would you say that continuing to allow immigration to the United States from disadvantaged countries like Haiti, Ghana and others is the right or wrong thing to do? [ROTATE] Right thing to do/strongly 25.7% Right thing to do/somewhat 33.6% Wrong thing to do/somewhat 17.2% Wrong thing to do/strongly 11.5% Unsure 12.0% redoakstrategic.com Page 9

[ROTATE BATTERY 30-37] Here are some reasons that some say Congress should pass an immigration compromise that will protect Dreamers, allow them to stay in the United States, and at the same time increase security along the border with Mexico through the increased use of new techniques that include advanced technology. For each, please select if this makes you more likely or less likely to support this legislation. 30. Families are the core of who we are as a country, and immigration policy should be focused on keeping parents and kids together. 31. Family based immigration is essential to ensuring the continued vitality of the American economy 32. Immigration policies must reunite families, not divide families and keep loved ones apart 33. Family members are critical in helping immigrants put down roots in this country 34. 800,000 Dreamers face deportation, and we must protect those who were brought to the US as children and are now contributing members of our society Much More likely Somewhat More likely No impact Somewhat Less likely Much Less likely Unsure 30.4% 28.7% 17.7% 8.6% 9.1% 5.5% 20.8% 26.6% 22.3% 11.2% 12.3% 6.8% 27.8% 26.5% 18.0% 9.9% 11.9% 5.9% 21.8% 28.1% 22.1% 9.9% 11.5% 6.7% 38.5% 25.2% 12.6% 8.1% 10.0% 5.5% redoakstrategic.com Page 10

35. This bill is a responsible solution that will provide a long-term solution for around 800,000 Dreamers, whose lives will be uprooted if this is not fixed 36. Not implementing a long term solution will be costly and problematic for the businesses that will lose employees if this situation is not addressed 37. It s a responsible approach to include both a solution for DACA and increased border security using new techniques like advanced technology in the same immigration bill Much More likely Somewhat More likely No impact Somewhat Less likely Much Less likely Unsure 30.9% 29.3% 15.5% 7.9% 9.4% 7.0% 20.4% 30.4% 22.2% 9.4% 9.9% 7.7% 24.0% 33.5% 17.7% 9.0% 8.7% 7.0% redoakstrategic.com Page 11

38. Thinking again about a potential immigration compromise that will protect the current 800,000 undocumented immigrants, also known as Dreamers, allowing them to stay legally in the United States that will also increase border security through enhanced techniques incorporating the use of advanced technology. If support Would you support or oppose the passing of this legislation? [ROTATE] Support/strongly 24.6% Support/somewhat 43.9% Oppose/somewhat 12.7% Oppose/strongly 9.3% Unsure 9.5% 38A. And why would you support the passing of this legislation? [OPEN END] If oppose 38B. And why would you oppose the passing of this legislation? [OPEN END] If unsure 38C.
