CALL TO ORDER President called the meeting to order at 6:45pm a. FLAG SALUTE President led the flag salute. b. ROLL CALL All members were present, except member, who had an excused absence due to a scheduling conflict. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The board approved the agenda with the following modification: item 6a remove the word Policy and replace with AB1344. DISCUSSION & ACTION ITEMS Carmen Rosas guided the board regarding the requirements of AB1344, although the board previously approved a salary schedule for administrators (2/18/16), the board must acknowledge these salary schedules are higher than COLA for the current year. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS Ms., Ms., and Mr., wished everyone a great summer. 8. EECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT Paul Guzman thanked J.Hilger for his work on the LCAP and CTE, as well as thanked C.Rosas and C.Patel for their contributions to the board agenda. He touched on Re-entry. Through our partnership with the SBWIB, we will increase our Job Developer services at all jail facilities. Mr. Guzman invited the board to 6/15/16 spring graduation inside Men s Central Jail, and to the outside graduation on 6/21/16 at the CVCA. He briefly informed the board about both charter s WASC re-certification proceedings. 9. ADJOURNMENT President adjourned the meeting at 8:55p.m. Next board meeting scheduled for August 11, 2016.
