Motion to approve the resolution permitting Ohio Schools Council to advertise and receive bids on behalf of Newbury Local School Board of Education to purchase one (1) 65-71 passenger Conventional Type-D chassis and body school bus and to participate in their bus purchasing program. 5. Motion to accept an agreement for excess cost for children with disabilities pursuant to section 3313.981 O.R.C., with Berkshire Local School District. 6. Motion to approve the Newbury Local Schools District s Interdistrict Open Enrollment policy for the 2017-2018 school year. 7. Motion to approve the Transportation Reimbursement application for the 2016-2017 school year for a Newbury resident attending St. Anselm. 8. Motion to approve the Newbury Schools District Calendars for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years.

B. Treasurer s Recommendations 1. Motion to approve the February 2017 Financials. 2. Motion to approve the Official Certificate of Estimated Resources for fiscal year 2018 from the Geauga County Budget Commission. 3. Motion to approve a Resolution Accepting the Amounts and Rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor. C. Personnel 1. Motion to accept, with regret, the resignation of Alyssa Bodner from the Spring Vocal supplemental position, 2017. 2. Motion to approve the retroactive posting, dated February 16, 2017, of Spring Vocal supplemental position, 2017. 3. Motion to approve the hiring of Matthew Kennedy for the Spring Vocal supplemental position, posted on February 16, 2017. 4. Motion to approve the hiring of Bonnie Tayek, of Newbury, Ohio, as Volunteer for the Newbury Thespian Club. Background check is on file.

5. Motion to approve the hiring of Caroline Mansfield, of Newbury, Ohio, as Volunteer for the Newbury Thespian Club, pending the receipt of background checks. 6. Motion to accept the resignation of Cathy Bukovics from the.25 bus supplemental to Gaitway retroactive to February 13, 2017, due to supplemental no longer needed. 7. Motion to approve the hiring of Kristen Csontos of Huntsburg, Ohio as Volunteer Softball coach for the 2017 season. Background check and pupil activity permit is on file. 8. Motion to approve the hiring of Phil Turner of Shaker Heights, Ohio as Volunteer Baseball coach for the 2017 season, pending completion of background check and pupil activity permit. 9. Motion to approve the retroactive posting for ESY Tutor(s) for at least two students, for 6 weeks, hours to be determined, to begin the week of June 12, 2017. 10. Motion to approve the anticipated posting for a 3 rd Grade Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. 11. Motion to approve the anticipated posting for Leveled Literacy Interventionist Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.

D. Approval of Vendor Contracts 1. Motion to approve the agreement between TRW and Newbury Local Schools for the production of The Addams Family, Spring 2017 Musical, for production materials, stage tracks, etc. for a total of $1,900.00. 2. Motion to approve a service agreement with Re-Ed Aspire for the education of a Newbury Student, at a cost of $100.00 per diem for the 2016-17 school year. 3. Motion to approve the aligned school district service agreement between Geauga County Educational Service Center Governing Board and Newbury Local School District Board of Education for the 2017-2018 school year. 4. Motion to approve the Managed Print Services Agreement between Newbury Local Schools and Blue Technologies, effective from March 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. 5. Motion to accept 60 month lease and document management agreement with ComDoc for the lease of five Xerox machines at a lease amount of $995 per month and a per copy amount of $0.00390 per black impression and $0.039 per color impression. Estimated installation will be from 3/27/17 through 3/31/17 (spring break.) E. Payment of Bills 1. Motion to accept notice of payment and acceptance of a then and now where necessary to Geauga County Educational Service Center for the following services provided: Preschool billing, January and February 2017, $18,056.00 Preschool Psychologist, February 2017, $224.37 Truancy Officer, January 2017, $328.77 Gaitway High School, February and March 2017, $8,232.73 OT and OTA Services for January 2017, $6,308.67

Classroom Aides, January 2017, $4,124.03 2. Motion to accept notice of payment to the following: Re-Ed Access, January 2017, $12,920.00 Re-Ed Aspire, January 2017, $676.00 Safely Home, Inc., January 2017, $3,300.00 MTA Tutoring, February 2017, $540.00 (two invoices) F. Donations 1. Motion to accept a donation from Boy Scouts of America, Troop 99, in the amount of $142.02 to maintain the wet lab area at Newbury Schools. 2. Motion to accept a donation from Newbury Tire Company, LLC in the amount of $1,000.00 to benefit girls sports. 3. Motion to accept a donation from Fairmount Santrol of Chardon, Ohio and United Way of Geauga County of 200 personal care boxes, with an estimated value of $900.00, to Newbury Local Schools to be distributed to male and female students. 4. Motion to accept a donation from Bright Funds Foundation of San Francisco, CA in the amount of $50.00 to the High School Principal fund. IV. Board President s Recommendations (Executive Session) Each executive session must be limited to the purpose or purposes stated below. It is unlawful to state only one purpose for an executive session, but to then discuss a second topic (although an executive session may be called for the purpose of discussing several topics).
