The Board of Education Open Session was called to order by Vice President Dave Schlichting at 7:03 p.m. Board members present for roll call: Mr. Willard Griesbach, Mrs. Dana Ramshak, Mr. Brett Eidahl, Mr. Craig Dreier, Mr. Bob VanDenElzen. On phone conference with Ms. Andrea Marcks. 2. Vice President Dave Schlichting confirmed that the public was given notice of the meeting by postings at Greenville Elementary, Hortonville Elementary, North Greenville Elementary, Greenville Middle, Hortonville Middle and Hortonville High Schools, Hortonville Public Library, Greenville Town Hall and the District website (www.hasd.org). Notice of the meeting and agenda was also sent to the Appleton Post Crescent and Press Star. 3. Pledge of Allegiance led by Vice President Schlichting 4. Oath of Office Mr. Willard Griesbach conducted the Oath of Office for newly elected Board Member Brett Eidahl. Recognitions: Money Smart Week (Personal Financial Literacy) April 22 29, 2017 Proclamation from Mr. Tony Evers, DPI Administrative Assistant Day April 26, 2017 School Principal Day May 1, 2017 National Staff Appreciation Week May 1 5, 2017 School Nutrition Employee Week May 1-5, 2017 Proclamation from Mr. Tony Evers, DPI Voith Corporation grant donation of $1,000 award to the HASD FIRST Lego League, applied for by a GMS parent. Gannett WI Media donation of $500 to the HASD FIRST Lego League, the donation was made through a district family.

12. Special Presentations A. HASD Athletic Training Services Mr. Todd Timm and Mr. Andy Kolosso updated the Board on requirements for an athletic trainer and what HASD currently offers. They discussed the selection criteria and what other districts are offering. They submitted their recommendation to obtain services through ThedaCare for athletic training services with the opportunity to receive $30,000 annually for five (5) years. B. Update on GMS 7 th Grade pilot and recommendation Mr. Travis Lawrence gave an update on the 7 th Grade pilot which involved having an Aide to run HELP periods throughout the day. Several of the areas were met expectations and a few did not meet expectations. Recommendation to the Board is to discontinue the pilot. 13. District Administrator s Report- A. Dr. Schmidt clarified the three (3) co-curricular additions in the Teacher Handbook and explained proposal for the additional Nurse and HHS Health Aide position. 14. Board Member Reports A. President Report President VanDenElzen asked the Board members to fill out the Committee request form and return by May 4, 2017. He will announce Committee members at the May 8, 2017 Board meeting. B. Committee Report- None 15. Discussion 2017-2018 Projected Budget Mr. Dave Wuebben updated the Board on the addition on the Nurse, formalize HHS Health Aide and HS co-curricular recommendations. 1 st Reading HHS Rocket Club Overnight Trip Request Sheboygan, WI May 12-13, 2017 16.
