AMENDED SPECIAL FIELD RULES FOR THE LIBERTY FIELD AHITE COUNTY. MISSISSIPPI FIELD LIMITS: The Liberty Field as used herein 1s that area consisting of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and that part of Sections 6 and 38 described a-.: From the southwest corner of Section 7 (northwest cc-nor of Section 18), T1N-R4E, Amite County, Mississippi, no North along the line between T1N-R3E and T1N-R4E for~b58.0 feet to the point 'of beginning, being a point on the boundary between Section 7 and Section 38. Within described tract contains 260.1 acres. Township 1 North, Range 4 East, Amite County, Mississippi, underlain by the Lower Tuscaloosa 011 Pool or the Lower Tuscaloosa Gas Pool as herci after defined and all productive extensions thereof correlative and n- interconnected therewith. LOWER TUSCALOOSA OIL POOL: The Lower Tuscaloosa 011 Pool as used herein shall be construed to mean those strata of the Lower Tuscaloosa Formation productive of on in the interval between 12,210 feet and 12,224 feet 1n the Shell-Johnston and Owens, et al, Unit No. 1 Well located 2.065.64 feet from the north line and 615.97 feet from the west line of Section 15, Township 1 North, Range 4 East, Amite County, Mississippi, as Indicated on the electric log of said well, and all sands correlative of said strata and Interconnected therewith productive of oil. LOWER TUSCALOOSA GAS POOLt 4 The Lower Tuscaloosa Gas Pool as used herein shall be construed to mean those strata of the Lower Tuscaloosa Formation productive of gas m

the interval between 12,212 feet and 12,270 feet 1n the Shell-Johnston, et al, Unit No. 1 Well located 941 feet from the north line and 2,100 feet from the west line of Section 15, Township 1 North, Range 4 East, Amite County, Mississippi, as indicated on the electric log of said well and all sands correlative of said strata and interconnected therewith productive of gas. DRILLING SIZE: The characteristics of the Lower Tuscaloosa Oil Pool in said field are such that a well located as hereinafter prescribed and drilled on a drilling unit consisting of one hundred sixty (160) surface acres, conforming to the requirements herein contained, will effectively drain and produce the recoverable oil from such unit in said oil pool without avoidable waste. The characteristics of the Lower Tuscaloosa Gas Pool 1n said field are such that a well located as hereinafter prescribed and drilled on a drilling unit consisting of six hundred forty (640) surface acres, conforming to the requirements herein contained, will effectively drain and produce the recoverable gas from such unit in said gas pool without avoidable waste. RULE I- SPACING OIL WELLS: Every well hereinafter drilled as an oil well in the Liberty Field to the Lower Tuscaloosa Oil Pool: (A) Shall be located on a drilling unit consisting of a governmental quarter section containing not less than one hundred forty-four (144) acres or more than one hundred seventy-six (176) acres, upon which no other drilling or producible well 1s located; (B) On the drilling units in Irregular sections Six (6), Seven (7) and Thirty-eight (38), the Units shall be as follows:

"A"; Mississippi, go Northerly along the east boundary of Section 7 for 5254.92 feet to the northeast corner of Section 7; thence Westerly along the north boundary of Section 7 for 2594.45 feet to the point of beginning, being the northeast corner of within described tract. Thence from said point of beginning continue Westerly along the north boundary of Section 7 and an extension thereof for 2594.44 feet to the boundary between T1N-R3E and T1N-R4E; thence South along said Range Line for 2619.44 feet; thence N 89 deg. 50' E for 2621.18 feet; thence N 00 deg. 35' W for 2623.31 feet to the point of beginning. Within described tract containing 158 acres, more or less. "B": Mississippi, go Northerly along the east boundary of Section 7 for 2627.46 feet to the point of beginning, being the southeast corner of within described tract. Thence from said point of beginning continue Northerly along the east boundary of Section 7 for 2627.46 feet to the northeast corner thereof; thence Westerly along the north boundary of Section 7 for 2594.45 feet; thence S 00 deg. 35' E for 2623.31 feet; thence N 89 deg. 50' E for 2621.18 feet to the point of beginning. Within described tract containing 158 acres, more or less. "C": Beginning at the southeast corner of Section 7, T1N-R4E, Amite County, Mississippi, being also the southeast corner of within described tract. Thence from said point of beginning go Westerly along the south boundary of Section 7 for 2647.92 feet; thence M 00 deg. 35' W for 2623.32 feet; thence N 89 deg. 50' E for 2621.18 feet to the east boundary of Section 7; thence Southerly along the east boundary of Section 7 for 2627.46 feet to the point of beginning. Within described tract containing 158 acres, more or less. "D": Mississippi, go Westerly along the south boundary of Section 7 for 2647.92 feet to the point of beginning, being the southeast corner of within described tract. Thence from said point of beginning continue Westerly along the south boundary of Section 7 for 2647.92 feet to the southwest corner of Section 7; thence North along the boundary between T1N-R3E and T1N-R4E for 2619.45 feet; thence N 89 deg. 50' E for 2621.18 feet; thence S 00 deg. 35' E for 2623.32 feet to the point of beginning. Within described tract containing 158 acres, more or less. (C) Shall be located at least 1000 feet from every other drilling or producible well located 1n conformity with this rule; (D) Shall be located at least 500 feet from every exterior boundary of the drilling unit; (E) No unit shall be permitted which will create island acreage.

RULE II - SPACING GAS WELLS; Every well hereinafter drilled as a gas well in the Liberty Field to the Lower Tuscaioosa Gas Pool: (A) Shall be located on a drilling unit consisting of: (1) Six hundred forty (640) contiguous surface acres; or (2) A governmental section containing not less than six hundred (600) acres or more than six hundred eighty (680) acres; or (3) Sixteen (16) contiguous governmental quarter-quarter sections whose total acreage 1s not less than six hundred (600) acres or more than six hundred eighty (680) acres. In any case, no other well producing from the same pool shall be located on any such unit; (B) Any gas drilling unit formed under Section A above of this rule must be completely encompassed by the perimeter of a rectangle 5580 feet by 6245 feet; (C) Shall be located at least 3000 feet from every other drilling well or well completed 1n or producing from the same pool located 1n conformity with this rule; (D) Shall be located not less than 1500 feet from every exterior boundary of the drilling unit; (E) No unit shall be permitted which will create island acreage. RULE III - APPLICABILITY OF STATE RULES: (A) All Statewide Rules and Regulations of this Board, and any amendments thereto, not specifically covered in the foregoing Special Field Rules, are hereby adopted and shall apply in said field. (B) These Rules and Regulations shall become effective as of the effective date of the Order adopting these Rules. (C) The Board expressly reserves the right after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and all of the foregoing Rules and Regulations.
