Hi Folks Here we are Spring has sprung September brings not only a change of season but also a month of change two significant events first being Memorial Day with it impact on the Ulysses club as a whole a solemn occasion with a real sense of belonging, it has become an event that gets stronger each year as more of our member have ridden on and as the honour list grows the Gardens reflect the ideals we hold true. (I myself am not anti religion in saying that I can do without it!) The second of the event of the month is one Redcliffe Branch prides itself on is putting on a good show this year s Odyssey held out at Blackbutt well it really Kicked Butt, the response to the Odyssey was excellent, Friday was awesome with members from other Ulysses Branches turned up with a positive mind set to just have fun, Saturday started slow with a trickle then gathered in pace with a good numbers member building to a impressive size, Game time with the Ulyssian spirit in full swing the competitive nature rose to the surface with Branch rivalry coming to the fore. The day was won by the team that in years past were a branch to be reckoned with congratulation Glass House Mountains on your triumphant return to the Ulympic Games, as with winners there must be a team to finish at the other end this the honour goes to Lockyer Branch The day could be summed up in saying fun was had by all, with those attending remarking that they would return next year to the same place to do it all again and hopefully the word spreads! Cheers Herb I m proud to say it was a team effort that made the Odyssey a success well done Redcliffe. Page 3 Ulysses Club Inc. Redcliffe Branch Newsletter October 2015
