CFS Bureau and Advisory Group meeting Date: 3 May 2017 German Room, FAO, 09.30-12.30 and 14.00-16.00 Voluntary Scale of Contributions In the 9 March meeting on CFS sustainable funding, some members expressed interest in a voluntary scale of contributions to ensure sustainable funding for CFS. For illustrative purposes, the table below indicates the level of contributions by member nation (based on the FAO Scale of Contributions for 2016-17 and 2018-19 1 ) needed to meet a total CFS budget of USD 10 million (corresponds to CFS total budget for 2016-17, including the three components i.e. Plenary and Workstreams, HLPE and CSM) and USD 6 million (corresponds to CFS budget for 2016-17 for the three components, less the contribution of USD 4 million from the Rome-based Agencies). Countries that are not member of CFS (highlighted in yellow in the table below) would not contribute but their total contribution only amounts to about 0.5% of the total).
