Users, when authorized, can work in more than one version of a bill or bills at the same time. Balanced entries are required for all changes. (An override, which goes through BR mgt and OCIT technical, is possible if an unbalanced entry is needed.) Grids in the system can be resized as necessary based on the size of appropriations and an automatic reset is provided. Portions of language which had to be added manually in the old system, can now be done by BR staff. An on-screen audit trail is available to assist staff with tracking changes and corrections. Report options were added to allow for more condensed reports when required. The bill preview application was improved, allowing users to preview the bill draft and also to select exactly how much of the bill they want to preview. The new system allows comparison documents between various versions of the bill to be prepared with ease.
