ROLL CALL: Mrs. Dolan aye, Mr. Pucel aye, Mrs. Battaglia aye, Mr. Keeney aye, Mr. Jackson aye RESOLUTION FOR COMPLIMENTARY PASSES: Motion by Mrs. Dolan and seconded by Mr. Keeney to approve the resolution for complimentary passes: WHEREAS, in accordance with state law, the Board of Education offers certain benefits to our employees; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education offers certain benefits to community residents and other individuals; and WHEREAS, the District and community benefit through the presence of District faculty, staff, and others identified in this resolution at school sponsored regular season athletic events; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Grand Valley School District Board of Education as follows: The Board of Education provides complimentary passes and waives payment of any entry fee to the events listed below for all full time and part time employees, Senior Citizens 60 years of age and older, Former Board of Education members, Volunteer Athletic Workers, College Recruiters/Scouts, Bus Drivers, Press, Conference League Passes and other people specifically approved by the Superintendent for the 2018-2019 school year. Complimentary passes/payment waiver applies to the following District events: 1. Regular Season Athletic Events IT IS FOUND AND DETERMINED that all formal action of this Board of Education concerning or related to the adoption of this Resolution was adopted in an open meeting of this Board, and all deliberations of this Board that resulted in such a formal action were adopted in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Ohio Revised Code. Approve Student Activity Purpose Statement for the 2018-2019 school year: Grand Valley High School Boys Soccer 2. Approve the payment of a graduate tuition reimbursement to the applicable certified staff in accordance with Article XXIII of Grand Valley Education Association negotiated agreement for the period 9/1/17 through 8/31/18. 3. Approve the payment of a graduate tuition reimbursement to Ellen Winer consistent with certified staff tuition reimbursements. 4. Approve a five-year Financial forecast for the district dated October 15, 2018. 5. Approve the expenditure to bond the Superintendent and the Board of Education President for the sum of $20,000.00 each through the Ohio School Board Association for the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019. 6. Approve the purchase of one (1) used 2010 GMC Savanna Van from A-Tech for or in the sum of $12,000.00. 7. Accept donation of $75.00 from the Orwell Memorial Unit 719 American Legion Auxiliary and $25.00 from Charles and Julie Mordesovich to the Cynthia Jones Eardley Scholarship fund #007-9014. 8. Accept donation of $1,500.00 from The East Ashtabula Educational Assistance Corporation (EAEAC), a non-profit organization formed to support local schools through the donation of funds to enhance the student learning process. The Board of Education will hold a public meeting on the issue of re-employing the above-named person at a meeting to be held on November 19, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Grand Valley High School Study Hall, located at 111 Grand Valley Avenue West, Suite C, Orwell, OH 44076.
