SET DATE, TIME & PLACE FOR HOLDING REGULAR MEETINGS AND THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING FOR THE 2019-2020 CALENDAR YEAR The L'Anse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education meetings will be held the third and fourth Monday of each month. The first meeting will be the Committee of the Whole Meeting at 2:00 p.m., and the second meeting of the month will be the Regular Board of Education Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Both Meetings will be held in the Harry L. Wheeler Community Center and Administrative Offices located at 24076 Pankow Boulevard, Clinton Township, MI with the following date exceptions: A. The district is closed for Mid-Winter Break on February 18, 2019. It will be necessary to change the Committee of the Whole meeting date in February. Suggested meeting date is: Tuesday, February 19, 2019 B. The district is closed for Memorial Day on May 27, 2019. It will be necessary to change the Regular Meeting date in May. Suggested meeting date is: Tuesday, May 28, 2019 (this date does not conflict with graduations or honor ceremonies) C. The district is closed for Winter Recess beginning December 20, 2019. The following meeting dates are suggested for December: Monday, December 9, 2019 Committee of the Whole Meeting Monday, December 16, 2019 Regular Board of Education Meeting D. The district is closed for Martin Luther King Day on January 20, 2020 and due to a possible Board Conference at the end of January, suggested meeting dates for January are as follows: Monday, January 13, 2020 2:00 p.m. Board Organizational Meeting Monday, January 13, 2020 3:00 p.m. Committee of the Whole Meeting Tuesday, January 21, 2020 6:30 p.m. Regular Board Meeting (A 2019-2020 calendar with upcoming conference information appears on the following page for your convenience in approving the above mentioned meeting dates.) *This is an action item that needs to be approved by the Board. Michigan Association of School Boards Voting Delegates and Alternate Delegates Please note: The number of MASB voting delegates and alternate delegates are based upon the district enrollment numbers. Based on the number of students enrolled in L Anse Creuse, the district is allowed four voting delegates and three alternate voting delegates. This means, the district is able to have four delegate votes (four board members can vote) at a delegate assembly. The alternate delegates may attend the assembly, but may only vote if a delegate is absent from the vote. These Members are selected at the discretion of the Board of Education.
