TOWNSHIP OF EAGLESWOOD REGULAR MEETING JULY 27, 2011 CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Eagleswood was called to order by Mayor Wayne Thomas at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Thomas led in the Salute to the Flag. ROLL CALL Those members present upon roll call were Pine, Rivas, Thomas. Also present was Thomas Monahan. STATEMENT ~ PROVISIONS OF THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT Provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act have been met. Notice of this meeting, Resolution 2011-07, has been transmitted to the Asbury Park Press, the Times Beacon and the Sandpaper, given to those having requested and paying for same, and posted on the Bulletin Board in the Municipal Building on January 7, 2011. Read by Mayor Thomas. PRESS IDENTIFICATION There were none. COMMITTEE REPORTS James Pine reported he will be meeting with the new Superintendent of Pinelands Regional, Dr. Blake on Friday. Debra Rivas said Recreation is working on the cards for the 5K/10K. They have the shirts and bags already. Recreation is now discussing the Country Fair. There is a meeting tomorrow evening. As of now, they do not have a DJ. Wayne Thomas advised that they met with the engineers on the I Boat and went over the items that Public Works can do in-kind. We have a lot in soft costs. Mayor Thomas spoke with Frank Little concerning the mining license (change from a three year to a five year). Mayor Thomas advised that Sherry Cummings wanted the CMFO job. She wants to advance in the municipal career. They can work a couple of things out and give her some education. The Clerk advised them there are only four statutory positions Municipal Clerk, Tax Collector, Chief Financial Officer, and Tax Assessor. Mr. Monahan thought it would be in the best interest to discuss the details in executive session. The Committee, Thomas Monahan, and the Clerk entered executive session at 7:39 p.m. RECONVENE TO REGULAR SESSION Mayor Thomas reconvened to regular session at 8:33 p.m. ADJOURNMENT Debra Rivas made a motion to adjourn, seconded by James Pine, and unanimously carried.
