SB F 2017-07 November 13, 2017 A Bill Make appropriations for 9 organizations Be it enacted by the of the Youngstown State University Student Government Association assembled, that the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Appropriations Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2018, for the following activities of student organizations: Section 1: The Association for Women in Mathematics YSU Chapter, is appropriated the sum of $2,000.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of plane tickets and registration fees to their Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics event held on January 26th to 28th, 2018. This event will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. Four (4) students are expected to attend. Section 2: Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, is appropriated the sum of $2,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel rooms, vans, and fuel to their IISE Great Lakes 2018 Regional Conference event held on February 2nd and 4th, 2018. This event will be held at The Ohio State University. Twenty (20) students are expected to attend. Section 3: The Black Student Union, is appropriated the sum of $500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of catering for their Sweets and Greets event held on November 16th, 2017. This event will be held in The Lariccia Lounge. Two hundred (200) students are expected to attend. Section 4: Youngstown Student Education Association, is appropriated the sum of $300.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of catering for their Upward Bound Christmas Party held on December 2nd, 2017. This event will be held in the McKay Auditorium in the Beeghly College of Education building. Forty (40) students are expected to attend. Section 5: Intrafraternity Council & Panhellenic Council, is appropriated the sum of $3,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of student registration and hotel rooms for their Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values held on February 8th through the 11th, 2018. This event will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Eight (8) students are expected to attend. Section 6: Bowling Club, is appropriated the sum of $400.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of entry fees and vehicle rentals to their Striking Knights Classic event held on November 18th and 19th, 2017. Section 7: Bowling Club, is appropriated the sum of $400.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of entry fees and vehicle rentals to their Mechanicsburgh Collegiate Classic event held on December 2nd and 3rd, 2017. This event will be held at ABC West Lanes in Mechanicsburgh, PA. Seven (7) students are expected to attend. Section 8: Health and Physical Education Majors Club, is appropriated the sum of $2,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of registration and hotel rooms for their OAHPERD Convention event held on November 29th through December 1st, 2017. This event will be held at Kalahari in Sandusky, OH. Twenty-two (22) students are expected to attend. Section 9: YSU Equestrian Team, is appropriated the sum of $500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of reining classes and coach fees for their Oberlin Horse Show event held on December 2nd, 2017.
