Lincoln Police Department Monthly Report June 2017 911 Pekin St. Lincoln, IL 62656 P: 217-732-2151 F: 217-732-4589 police@lincolnil.gov lincolnil.gov/police Contents PG 2: News Including accomplishments, events, and awards. Burglary & Theft During the past 6 months the Lincoln Police have investigated 178 property crimes involving burglary, theft, and criminal damage. Of the burglaries we have had 15 residential burglaries. The police need your help! First of which is to secure your property as property crimes are normally crimes of opportunity. Don t leave valuables out in the open where they can be seen and taken. Secure your home when not there. Breaking in causes noise and causes people to notice. Adopt a dog as they will cause a burglar to think twice before entering. Purchase a home security system. Visible indication of an alarm system will cause a burglar to pick another home. Think about installing video cameras as they help provide a witness that we may not otherwise have. PG 3-7: Monthly Stats UCR, Arrests, Tickets, and Fines.
