Public Guests: CSN Classified employees potluck/meeting attendees Guest Speakers: Karen Ahern, Coyote Q presentation Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis, Coaching & Mentorship Initiative Ms. Ahern spoke with the Council and guests about the new Coyote Q virtual line system. This system is a virtual waiting line, much like the DMV. o It will be used by students waiting for student service areas, such as Registration, Advising, etc. o Students and prospective students will sign up for the virtual waiting line online. They will enter their name or cell number as their place in line, as well as which area(s) they would like to see that day. o When they are next, they will get a text or call (if they inputted their number) or they would have to watch for their name on the screen located in the student service areas on the three main campuses. They will also get a 15 minute alert when they need to be ready to visit with their desired area. o This system will go live approximately July 27. Dr. Silver-Rodis spoke with the Council and guests about CSN s new Coaching and Mentorship program. o This proposed program promotes the opportunity for mentor/mentee partnerships within the CSN employee community. o This will be a flexible program, where employees can sign up to be a mentor, mentee, or both. They will be paired with another mentor or mentee. o These pairings will help employees stay and grow within the CSN employee community.

Shelley Dean What s Up With Classified: Vickie Peoples, a classified employee in Academic Affairs, has been approved for the use of catastrophic leave. Classified employees are invited to donate leave time directly to Ms. Peoples via the Notice of Intent to Donate Leave form. With the ever increasing threat from phishing emails and website cloning, System Computing Services (SCS) is taking steps to proactively notify an employee when their Employee Self Service (ESS) account has been accessed and/or his/her direct deposit information is changed through ESS, either legitimately or fraudulently. o Email messages will be sent to the email account listed in ESS. This is the same e-mail address that is used to send the notice for the payroll advice. These emails are purposely very generic and contact information and links to institution sites have been excluded from the body of the email. o In addition, when accessing ESS, the direct deposit account number(s) and bank routing number(s) will be partially masked to prevent someone who fraudulently accesses an employee ESS record from seeing this data. o It is SCS's plan to roll this into production on June 4. If you have any questions or concerns please HRcustomerservice@csn.edu or 651-5800. CSN is partnered with The Smith Center to offer discounted tickets to CSN benefit-eligible employees for designated shows. If you are interested in a particular show, please go to the link below to review the show and to purchase your tickets: http://www.thesmithcenter.com/partnerperks/. o When you access their page please see the statement, Already a Partner Perks member.
