The 16-07-05 Resolution to Accept Out-of-State / Overnight Student Trips It was moved by Mrs. Wolff and second by Mr. Wiley that the Board approve the following resolution. WHEREAS, the Board s policies and administrative guidelines require that the Board approve in advance all overnight and out of town field or other district sponsored trips; and WHEREAS, there are occasions where the need for the overnight or out of town trip arises between Board meetings and the trip will occur before the next Board meeting (hereinafter short notice trips ); and WHEREAS, the Superintendent has recommended that to avoid denying permission or calling a special Board meeting solely for the purpose of approving a short notice trip, the Board authorize the Superintendent to approve short notice trips so long as they otherwise comply with Board policy and administrative guidelines; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Superintendent is authorized to approve short notice trips after verifying that the trip complies with Board policy and administrative guidelines for field and other district sponsored trips. BE IT HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that when the Superintendent approves a short notice trip the Board will ratify the Superintendent s action at its next regular meeting or work session. The Maumee High School Family Consumer Science students will travel to compete in the Ohio FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) State Leadership Conference. E.
