Board minutes, Councillor O'Leary advised that Police Services has not purchased a new SUV The SUV was ordered in the Fall of 2015 and put into service in early 2016 d Library Negotiations Councillor Thomas advised that the Meaford Library Board is terminating its current library services agreement with the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library Board The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library Board and Meaford Library Board have since met and it was an encouraging meeting The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library Board will be providing a proposal to the Meaford Library Board next week e Scenic City Order of Good Cheer Councillor Koepke advised that she attended an appreciation event hosted by the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer The Scenic City Order of Good Cheer is a small group of volunteers that has raised a large amount of money for the City They have raised just over 13 million dollars Council suggested that Mayor and Council send a thank you letter to the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer f Remembrance Day Councillor Lemon advised that despite the weather there was a good turnout at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day Following the ceremony at the Cenotaph, veterans attended the Owen Sound Royal Canadian Legion for a luncheon Councillor Lemon noted the importance of acknowledging local Veterans g Leachate Report Moved by Deputy Mayor Wright R-161114-016 "THAT City Council requests a further report be provided on Leachate and budgetary savings" Carried h Transit Rate Review Staff confirmed that a report respecting transit rates will be coming forward in January i Mayor's Activities Mayor Boddy advised that last week he served dinner at the OSHaRE volunteer appreciation event, he provided greetings at the Owen Sound Little Theatre (OSLT) 56th Annual Season Opening, and he attended the Remembrance Day parade, service and lunch Mayor Boddy advised that this week St Mary's High School football team will be playing in the CWOSSA championship this Thursday at 1:00 pm at Victoria Park, Friday night is Moonlight Madness downtown, the Fine Craft Christmas Show and Sale at the Harmony Centre is all weekend, the Kiwanis Santa Claus parade is this Saturday, and the Festival of Northern Lights opening ceremony begins at 3 pm 13 MOTION THAT THE COMMITTEE RISE AND REPORT Page 7 of 8
