AT Regulations Acts 123 (Osteopathic Board) no public forum for this i. Will still take approx. 1 year to get through this process ii. Document only changes certification to licensure iii. Will still need to do another one for the Medical Board b. Jackie George Event i. The Central PA Chapter of National Football Foundation and College HOF - Football Athletic Trainer of the Year ii. Article will be written iii. Northcentral rep should be charged to attend every year along with other county delegates c. Grants i. Greg wrote 3 grants ii. Received 2: NATA, Department of Health related to concussions for $5000; concussion education; MTBI awareness program; interpretation iii. NATA EDAC for the PATS BOD Diversity training will review application asked for $3200 iv. Standing charge for the Diversity Committee to seek funding/grant money for all Diversity training d. Concussions i. Yvette attended a conference in northcentral PA focus mostly on SB200 ii. Educate Athletic Directors, coaches, etc. specifically at PIAA schools 1. Proposed PATS AD letter 2. Regional presentations at all 12 PIAA districts iii. Work with BIAPA took the lead on the education piece for the regional presentations 1. Only approved face-to-face education session participates will get a certificate 2. Look into training people Assessors a. 2 people for each presentation 3. Brain Injury trainings Deborah Delgado - Traumatic Brain Injury Project Director for the Disability Right s Network of PA looking for sites for these talks. Educating college faculty on long term effects of concussions 4. Concussion Meeting (Central PA) iv. Coop letter v. Legal Interpretation Tom felt it was very helpful, going to review to make sure nothing there to cause PATS harm before making available to members. a.

HB1832 amends the Medical Practice Act authorizing PAs to order AT referrals, sign and approve certain kinds of physicals, authenticate certain forms, and lay out rules for their supervision and written agreements VIII. PATS PR Posters Changed wording of description of Industrial AT on PATS Poster to Industrial Athletic Trainers are specialists in ergonomic evaluation, injury prevention, reduction of healthcare costs, productivity enhancement, and return to work management. b. Approved on spot by the BOM b. Next step work with Admin. Secretary of BOM to get sites up and working Charge - Continuing Ed. Committee to continue working on these educational programs (i.e. skill sheets, checklists) c. BOM counsel wants to see all of these as rules and regs (policy with no teeth until through rules and regulations) Temporary license a. Need to apply for license 45 days prior to starting work. b. NO grace period so cannot practice until have received license. c. No more last minute hires. Motion to adjourn by Guy.
