SEPTEMBER 5, 2017, MEETING (1) Resolution No. PC 16-17 A resolution of the Planning and Environmental Quality Commission recommending that the City Council make amendments to Chapter 18.66 of the Gardena Municipal Code relating to medical cannabis, adopting a permanent prohibition of all commercial marijuana activities in the City and imposing regulations for personal cultivation of marijuana and directing staff to file a notice of exemption as this Ordinance is exempt from CEQA. Additionally, adopting a permanent prohibition of all commercial marijuana activities in the city and imposing regulations for personal cultivation of marijuana is exempt pursuant to Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) under the General Rule that a project is exempt from CEQA where it can be seen with certainty that the activity will not have any significant effect on the environment.
