wait until the last minute. Franklin reads a letter from President Bill Young urging the membership to join the NALC Health Plan. Phone calls, mailings, COLCPE, precinct walking and campaign contributions. Thanks to those who have worked with the Senate to stop contracting out to protect our benefits, wages, and our retirement could be in jeopardy. Thanks to all of you for all the hard work. Vicki Sawicki states that the work has just begun, look at the auto workers; we need to support our brothers and sisters. Leonard Cruz asks John Beaumont if there could be a bailout for the Post Office? John answered it s not in the works. John went on to say the first time he heard Barack Obama spoke he felt as if he was another Robert Kennedy. Dave Welsh asked John about Barack s position on the free choice act? John said that Legislators are under the gun about the free choice act. John Beaumont is going to the Inauguration Green Committee Meeting this week progress. Building Committee Charles Gonzalez reported about the trip to the lawyers and more money is needed for renovations. They posted a message on the web to look for a tenant or a partner on the non profit network, they will report back every month. We are 36% owners of the building they talked to the attorney about making the repairs to the building is it advantageous to the branch? Tony Gallardo made points that were tenants and landlords and we have a right to a fire exit in our building. Matt Ressio said we should sale the building and rent an office that has more parking. We need to factor in the maintenance

mortgage, taxes and utilities. Tony G the mortgage is about $2,400 the utilities, insurance and maintenance are shared. Matt asked Tony who voted on the purchase of the building. Tony stated the members voted on the purchase by 2/3 vote. Somebody stated that property values are going down. A discussion was held. Juan Dominguez mad a motion to move the agenda, 2 nd by many, one of approval. Vicki Sawicki made a motion to entertain to go out of order for new business it was the opinion of the President the No s have it, Division was called for 26 to 32 the No s have it. Trustees Report Sheila Gardner referred the report to Lili Beaumont. Old Business Herb Mitchell- reported that he had 10 pictures of Day at the Races, the group photo and the winning jockey. Sheila Gardner and Mike Williamson won a trifecta. Maybe we will do it again in March of 2009. Carl Bryant thanked the branch for the support on candidate s night and reported that the candidates we supported got elected, Thanks. A point of personnel privilege was requested by Sandra Ramos Sandra Ramos came to the meeting to thank Karen Schuler, Brian Voight and Norma Leonardo for getting her job back. New Business Brad Louis asked for support of fellow union members for each other and Thanks Juan Dominguez and Lili Beaumont for all the help they have give him over the past year. Vicki Sawicki makes a motion to waive Belinda Coursey and Tauchia Cobbins back dues, 2 nd by Tony one of approval. Tony Gallardo mad a motion to accept the new members as read by Karen Schuler, 2 nd by many and one of approval. Carl Bryant makes a motion to un-table Labor Tech motion until it was approved by the budget Committee. Motion to Labor Tech at the cost of $125 each for registration, on December 5, 6,7th a total of $375 it was approved by the budget committee. The motion was seconded by many, one of approval. Carl discussed the d Sheila Gardner makes a motion as recommended by auditor Dave Dorsey; the trustees make a motion to contact Jeff Goss of Miller Kaplan a CPA to assist us for internal control of branch funds. The cost has yet to be determined. A discussion was held Ivars Lauersons asked about the cost. Herb Mitchell made a motion to table until the cost is ascertained. The motion was seconded by Ivars, motion was tabled.

Sheila Gardner and Roberta Bojo make a motion to solicit recopies for a cook book from all the Branch 214 members who wish to participate and submit their name and recipe in print. All proceeds will go to MDA, request to announce in the voice and the monthly bulletin. The motion was seconded by many, one of approval. Dave Welsh made a motion for the branch to pay the registration for the weekend of December 5-7, 2008 for an international Labor conference in Tijuana Mexico. The budget committee recommended only one for $ 55 for Dave, Dave was concerned that somebody else would like to go. Dave asked the members if anybody was interested in going seeing nobody, he accepted the recommendation of the budget committee. The motion was seconded by many, one of approval. Billy Eyeball made a motion for President Lili Beaumont make a written request that the USPS postpone the National Reassessment Program and to terminate 5 employees involved in unlawful, costly, libelous, and abusive misconduct namely Adam Alvarez (Labor Relations), Injury Compensation Personnel Gary Schrecengost, David Sullivan, San Francisco Postmaster Noemi Luna and CS Operations Raj Sanghera. A discussion was held. A friendly amendment was made to send the letter to the district manager and one to La Enfant Plaza Washington, DC. Question was called for with the friendly amendment. The motion was seconded by Audrey Davis, one of approval. Sandra Ramos came to the meeting to thank Brian Voight and Karen Schuler for getting her job back and Norma Leonardo. Presidents Report Read by Karen Schuler for Lili who had urgent business and had to leave. The trustees report was deferred to Lili. President Bill Young asked AST Carol Maggio to resign as of tonight and pay restitution back to the Branch. The report from independent auditor Dave Dorsey will be passed to President Lili Beaumont tomorrow. He recommended that we hire a CPA to tighten the internal controls of the Branch.

Executive Vice Presidents Read by Ray he talked about the NRP Audrey Davis is the representative for the interviews in San Francisco, Bill Thornton is the representative for the interviews in all the area offices. Initially it will be easier for the carriers who have reached MMI within 1 year than the later carriers. If you want to find out more go to nalcbayarea.com. Ray handed it over to Audrey Davis wanted to say that what happens to the limited duty carriers effect s everybody. Everybody is subject to injury, the more people that are pushed to run; the more likely they are going to be injured. Vice Presidents Report Read by Bill Ron Caluag and Cherry Vargas has gotten good settlements at Daly City, and so has Anthony Reyes in San Leandro South. 6 Month Budget Report None Secretary -Treasurers Report Read by Karen (see attached).
