much does the Left receive in the polls? The Democratic Republic of the Congo is a laic country and is independent since June 30th 1960, 56 years after the country is torn by the successive dictatorship from 1965 until today, even though the attempts to start the democratic process but without success because of lack political will of its sociopolitical actors. A country ranked among the countries where the rules of the democratic games are flouted, the main international human rights instruments ignored, freedom of the press, opponents of the government and human rights activists are muzzled and arrested Then arbitrarily thrown into prison without fair trial. In short, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a country still under dictatorship although it is directed by a political family that claims to be social democracy. The UN reports report that the Democratic Republic of Congo is a dictatorial country. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, UDPS is the first party of social democracy and is an observer member of the socialist international, after another PALU Party has recently become a member of the Socialist International around 2013. Apart from UDPS and PALU, other political parties also claim the left in spite of their request for adherence to the socialist international was rejected. The UDPS is the second political force on the number of its elected in the Parliament In general in the DRC the Parties are claiming to the left are the headlight political parties in terms of numbers of their elected in the Parliament and the institutions of the State 34. Is there more than one left wing party in your country? [If yes, please describe the differences among the parties and indicate whether there is a prospect of a united Left] In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, apart from UDPS there are other parties that claim to belong to the Social Democracy, including the PALU, which is with the UDPS in the socialist international as observing members and the PALU has been parained by the " UDPS for its adherence to the international socialist. The parties claiming to be left in the Congo can not unite in the light of their different political practices which are opposed to each other in the country. Others are in the camp of the Parties to the Power and the others are in opposition with their political quarrels it is still far from seeing those Parties claiming of Social-Democracy can unite. 35.
