Circle of Love Chairmen Select judges to choose COL state winners; judges must be non- Catholic Daughters. Receive First Place entries from local courts by state deadline. Present judges with all local court entries and a deadline to return back to you. Send State Regent a list of First, Second and Third place winners by State deadline. Use the National Education Contest Cover Sheet to submit FIRST PLACE winners on the state level to national by their deadline.
Diocesan CDA Kid Chairman Encourages local courts to nominate a CDA Kid. Answers questions and concerns from Regents in their diocese. Receives CDA Kid nominees from each local court by Oct. 31. Appoints a committee to choose a Diocesan CDA Kid from all of the submissions. Receives the name of the CDA Kid from committee by Nov. 15 Sends the name and forms of the Diocesan CDA Kid to the State CDA Kid Chairman, Pam Melancon by Nov. 15. Sends a report on how money was spent on CDA Kid at the end of the year.
State CDA Kid Chairman Publishes CDA Kid information and applications to all court regents through the September newsletter. Answers questions and concerns from Diocesan Chairman. Receives CDA Kid nominee from each diocesan chairman by November 15. Sends name of Diocesan CDA Kids to state & local regents. Writes and submits an article about each Diocesan CDA Kid for the December newsletter. Receives a report from the Diocesan Chairman on how the money was spent on their CDA Kid.
2019 State Convention Chairmen Assist State Court in planning the 2019 State Convention. Locate a convention site West Calcasieu Event Center. Locate hotels and secure rooms for 500 convention attendees. Locate and secure catering for Friday night, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning Brunch. Locate and secure meals for lunch. Act as liaison to the state officers.
JCDA Chairman Selects a JCDA Chairman in each diocese to help with courts in their diocese. Works with JCDA leaders, answering questions and concerns. Mentor 9 existing JCDA courts in the state. Develops new JCDA courts in the state. Together with a team of the State COL Youth/JCDA Chairman, and JCDA adult leaders, plan and host a State JCDA Convention.
Membership & Development Chairman Locates possible churches who might desire a CDA court. Makes an appointment with the pastor to have a CDA chat. Coordinates a weekend to hold pulpit talks and recruit prospective members at all masses with the help of the DD s from that diocese. Holds an informational meeting to explain who and what CDA is and answer any questions ladies may have. If a court is to be formed, holds a second meeting to elect temporary officers. Coordinates with pastor to institute new court. Helps new courts get started.

Present judges all local court first place entries and a deadline to return back to you. Send State Regent a list of First, Second and Third place winners by state deadline. Use the National Newsletter Contest Cover Sheet to submit FIRST PLACE winners in each category to National by their deadline.(must send in three copies with 3 cover sheets.)
Public Relations Chairman Submit articles to Share Magazine or Diocesan Catholic Newspaper each quarter. 1. CDA Kids 2. Leadership Conferences 3. New Court Installations 4. JCDA Convention 5. Court 100 th Anniversary Celebrations 6. State Retreats 7. State Convention
Scholarship Chairman Select judges to choose 8 th grade and 12 th scholarship recipients in each diocese; judges must be non-catholic Daughters. Receive entries from local courts postmarked by state deadline. Present judges with all entries and a deadline to return back to you. Send State Regent names and forms of 8 th grade and 12 th grade recipients in each diocese by state deadline.
Website Contest Chairman Select judges to choose website winners; judges must be non-catholic Daughters. Receive website entries from local courts by state deadline. Present judges with all local court entries and a deadline to return back to you. Send State Regent a list of First, Second and Third place winners in each division and category by state deadline. Use the National Website Contest Cover Sheet to submit FIRST PLACE winners in each division and category to National by their deadline.
