Since 2009, he has been an advocate of ASEAN regional cooperation and integration through his capacity as the Cambodian independent researcher and thinker. He has engaged in different study groups and research teams on regional economic integration and security issues. He has shared his views and perspectives through both the publication of policy and academic papers and attending different international conferences and workshops. He has been quoted in different news reports with respect to current regional issues.
