Agenda Item E-7 May 14, 2012 School Board Meeting AGENDA ITEM: Meal Price Increase for Food Service Fund MEETING DATE: May 14, 2012 SUGGESTED DISPOSITION: Operational Item CONTACT PERSON: Pete Willcoxon Sr. Executive Director of Business Services Background: Increasing costs within our Food Service Fund, including food, transportation, labor and necessary equipment upgrading, have caused administration to recommend a price increase. The increase, as outlined in the attached document, would be $.05 per meal for all breakfast and lunch prices except the reduced lunch price which is set by the federal government. The increase would become effective with the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year. Recommendation: Administration recommends that the above outlined price increases be approved for the 2011-2012 school year. 90
