(F) EDUCATION AND CURRICULUM Deputy Superintendent Mautone, using a power point program, shared the objectives of the district s Professional Development Plan, together with the courses that are offered throughout the year in house and through Ulster BOCES. He then responded to questions from board members. A MOTION (Ferraro/Schirmer) to APPROVE the following resolution (agenda item F.1.) 1. 2016-2017 Professional Development Plan Resolution Resolved: That the Board of Education does hereby approve the Professional Development Plan for the 2016-2017 school year. (G) PERSONNEL INSTRUCTIONAL A MOTION (Ferraro/Maclary) to APPROVE the following resolution (agenda items G.1.a,b,c) 1. Resignation - Resolution Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the following resignation(s) be approved: a. Vincent Kemp initially certified Technology Education teacher, effective September 12, 2016. b. Kristen Cannon part-time Teaching Assistant, effective August 19, 2016. c. Julie Stavrapoulos part-time Teaching Assistant, effective August 23, 2016.

Appointments - Resolution Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the following appointments be approved, conditioned upon receiving fingerprint clearance: a. Cheryl O Dell permanently certified Mathematics (Grades 7-12) teacher, be appointed to a term Math position at Master s Step 2 ($54,992), effective September 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. b. Kelly Brooks initially certified Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6) teacher, be appointed to a part-time, term (.6 ) Special Education position at Master s Step 1 ($53,793 - prorated) effective September 1, 2016 through on or about November 18, 2016. c. 2016-2017 Mentors Full-Time Mentors -$1,229 Stipend Janet Sullivan Carole Stopczynski Dana Murphy Janice Martin Gina Kiniry Laura Bubel Debora Nezich Half-Time/Half-Year Mentors - $307.25 Stipend Catherine Corso Rebecca Mulford d. Assistant Superintendent Resolution BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, the Board of Education of the Saugerties Central School District appoints Mrs. Olanike Audu as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Assessments and Student Data, at a salary of $115,000 (prorated), effective September 14, 2016.

August 30, 2016 Page 4 of 9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Mrs. Audu is hereby appointed to the tenure area of Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent for a four (4) year probationary period commencing September 14, 2016 in accordance with the terms of the contract as agreed to by her and the Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the employment contract between the Board and Mrs. Audu is hereby approved. A MOTION (Ferraro/VanSchaack) to APPROVE the following resolution (agenda item G.3.a) 3. Appointment to Tenure Resolution a. Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that Carole Kelder, initially certified School Building Leader be appointed to tenure in the administrative tenure area as Principal effective October 9, 2016. A MOTION (Barringer/Ferraro) to TABLE to Executive Session the following resolution (agenda item G.3.b) 2016. b. Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that Lawrence Mautone, permanently certified School District Administrator be appointed to tenure in the administrative tenure area as Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent effective October 9, (H) PERSONNEL NON-INSTRUCTIONAL A MOTION (Mooney/Ferraro) to APPROVE the following resolutions (agenda items H.1.a through I.4.,e) 1. Resignation - Resolution Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the following resignation(s) be approved: a. Cruz Pilz full-time, 12-month Typist, effective September 1, 2016.

August 30, 2016 Page 5 of 9 (I) BUSINESS OFFICE RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Tax Rate Equalization - Resolution Whereas, the Saugerties Central School District embraces in part or total three (3) towns in Ulster County and whereas, it is necessary to equalize the payment of taxes in all towns within the school district. Now therefore be it resolved, that equalization rates as established by the New York Division of Equalization and Assessment will be used to establish tax rates for the 2016-2017 school year. 2. Tax Warrant 2016-2017 Resolution Whereas, it is necessary to establish tax rates for the collection of taxes in the Saugerties Central School District. and whereas, the Board of Education on August 30, 2016 adopts the tax warrant, in the amount of $37,191,264 less prior year uncollected of $7,997, net collection of $37,183,267 for the collection of said taxes. and whereas, the legislative bodies of the three towns embraced by our school district have issued warrants for the amount of school taxes to be levied. Now therefore be it resolved, that taxes for the towns of Saugerties, Woodstock, and Ulster will be collected beginning September 1, 2016 through September 30, 2016 without an interest penalty. A penalty of 2% will be added if payment is made during the period of October 1, 2016 to October 31, 2016. A penalty of 3% will be added if payment is made during the period of November 1, 2016 to November 4, 2016. Taxed unpaid thereafter will be turned over to the County for collection. 3. 2016-2017 Transportation Contracts Resolution a. The Board of Education accepts the bid of Coxsackie Transport, Inc., lowest responsible bidder for transportation to be provided in accordance with bid specifications. Bid 1617-05; Route 164 Andrus Orchard School,

August 30, 2016 Page 6 of 9 Yonkers, the Board New York at a cost of $400.00 per day; and the Board authorizes President and Superintendent to execute the contract document. b. The Board of Education accepts the bid of Lezette Express, Inc., lowest responsible bidder for transportation to be provided in accordance with bid specifications. Bid 1617-05; Route 165 Primrose Hill School, Rhinebeck, New York at a cost of $238.95 per day; and the Board authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract document. c. The Board of Education accepts the bid of Tonche Transit, Inc., lowest responsible bidder for transportation to be provided in accordance with bid specifications. Bid 1617-05; Route 167 Rondout Valley High School, 122 Kyserike Road, Accord, New York at a cost of $298.00 per day; and the Board authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract document. 4. 2016-17 Transportation Contract Extensions Resolution a. Resolved that the Board of Education approve six (6) contract extensions between the Saugerties Central School District and Coxsackie Transport, Inc. at an increase of 0.9% CPI for the 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension documents. b. Resolved that the Board of Education approve one (1) contract extension between the Saugerties Central School District and Ethan Allen Transportation at an increase of 0.9% CPI for the 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension documents. c. Resolved that the Board of Education approve three (3) contract extensions between the Saugerties Central School District and First Student, Inc. at an increase of 0.9% (CPI) for the 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension documents. d. Resolved that the Board of Education approve one (1) contract extension between the Saugerties Central School District and First Student, Inc. at an increase of 0.9% for 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension document.

Resolved that the Board of Education approve twenty-five (25) contract extensions between the Saugerties Central School District and Lezette Express, Inc. at an increase of 0.9% (CPI) for the 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension documents. f. Resolved that the Board of Education approve four (4) contract extensions between the Saugerties Central School District and Tonche Transit, Inc. at an increase of 0.9% (CPI) for the 2016-2017 school year, and authorizes the Board President and Superintendent to execute the contract extension documents. A MOTION (Schirmer/Mooney) to APPROVE the following resolutions (agenda items I.5.,6.,7.) 5. Budget Transfers Resolution Resolved: That the Board of Education approves the attached budget transfer #11 proposed by the Business Manager pertaining to the 2015-2016 school year. 6. 2016-2017 Student Breakfast and Lunch Prices Resolution Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education approves and authorizes the 2016-2017 student breakfast and lunch prices as listed. 7. 2016-2017 Adult Breakfast and Lunch Prices Resolution Resolved: Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education approves and authorizes the 2016-2017 adult breakfast and lunch prices as listed. A & T Healthcare Resolution Resolved: That the Board of Education hereby approves the Nurse Consultant Agreement between A & T Healthcare and Saugerties Central School District and authorizes the Superintendent to sign the agreement. 3. Ulster County School Board Association Legislative Action Committee Representative Discussion A MOTION (Mooney/Ferraro) to APPROVE the nomination of President Robert Thomann to represent the district on the Ulster County School Board Association Legislative Action Committee for the 2016-2017 school year.
