Pharmaceutical companies shall be required to cease and desist from distributing and propagating direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertisements. Direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertisements (DTCPAs) include both product-claim ads and reminder ads. Product-claim ads include the naming of a product with indications, and claims towards safety and efficacy. Reminder ads similarly include a product name, along with dosage and possible costs, but not usage information. Help-seeking ads, however, will still be allowed.
