Beginning in 2002, he also served as Visiting Associate Professor of Philosophy at Bard College. Scope Note This collection contains pamphlets, newsletters, broadsides, clippings, handbills, notices, correspondence and other organizational and promotional material collected by Alan Sussman. Most of the items in the collection represent political organizations and movements of the 1960s, particularly pacifist, leftist and radical groups. A wide variety of organizations are documented in the collection, including groups focused on anti-war protest, civil rights, workers' rights, and intellectual freedom. Some of the groups
represented in the collection were oriented specifically to campus activism at University of Chicago; however, most of the collection represents groups that were organized at a national or regional level.
