September 7, 2018 Evacuation Drill APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Mrs. Dolan and seconded by Mr. Jackson to approve the minutes of the July 16, 2018 regular meeting and the July 30, 2018 special meeting, and to waive the reading of the same. PERSONNEL RESOLUTION ITEMS: Motion by Mrs. Dolan and seconded by Mr. Jackson to approve the following personnel resolution items as recommended by the superintendent: 1. Resolution to note the following staff member s Family Medical Leave request. Margaret Petersen, Cook, from August 20, 2018 to October 5, 2018. Marcella Tolnar, Teacher, intermittent from August 15, 2018 to September 30, 2018. 2. Accept the resignation of Anna Nye, Teacher, at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year. 3. Reassign Kurtis Fisher as High School History teacher (World History, U.S. History, World Geography) for the 2018-2019 school year. 4. Employ Christopher Perrotti as High School History teacher (World History) for the 2018-2019 school year. Salary as per negotiated salary schedule. 5. Approve the job description of Supervisor of Transportation. 6. Employ Lynn Hollingsworth as Supervisor of Transportation with a 3-year contract effective July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021. 7. Accept the resignation due to retirement of Lynn Hollingsworth as Bus Driver at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year. 8. Accept the resignation of Sue Wolf as Cook for the 2018-2019 school year. 9. Accept the resignation of Wendy Harrison as Permanent Substitute approved to work up to 4 days a week as needed for the 2018-2019 school year. 10. Amend Jim Stanley as Permanent Substitute working 5 days a week as needed for the 2018-2019 school year. 11. Approve the following individual as Permanent Substitute working up to 5 days a week as needed for the 2018-2019 school year. Jennifer Beals 12. Employ Jeanne Molzon as Aide (Transportation) Bus #18 for 3 hours in the AM and 3 hours in the PM for a total of 6 hours Monday through Friday. Salary as per negotiated salary schedule. 2

13. Employ the following certified staff for the designated one-year limited supplemental contract for the 2018-2019 school year. Salaries as per negotiated salary schedule. Chris Freeman Bus Driver Paul Wolf Bus Driver Sue Wolf Cook Antoinette McCarty Secretary PERSONNEL RESOLUTION ITEM: Motion by Mr. Keeney and seconded by Mrs. Dolan to approve the following personnel resolution item as recommended by the superintendent: 1. Due to the lack of interested and qualified personnel within the Grand Valley School System, employ the following individual on one-year limited supplemental contract for the 2018-2019 school year pending satisfactory completion of all requirements. Jenny Cromley Assistant to the Athletic Director RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN THE GRAND VALLEY LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION (BOARD) AND THE GRAND VALLEY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (GVEA) TO AMEND THE DATES OF THE ANNUAL OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD FOR HEALTH INSURANCE TO BE THE PERIOD BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1 AND SEPTEMBER 30 ANNUALLY: Motion by Mr. Jackson and seconded by Mrs. Dolan to approve the MOU between the Board and the GVEA to amend the dates of the annual open enrollment period for health insurance to be the period between September 1 and September 30 annually. APPOINTMENT TO ATHLETIC COUNCIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Motion by Mrs. Dolan and seconded by Mr. Jackson to appoint Richard Jackson and Tim Keeney as the Board member representatives to the Athletic Council Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 school year. MISCELLANEOUS CONSENT RESOLUTION ITEMS: Motion by Mr. Keeney and seconded by Mr. Jackson to approve the following miscellaneous consent resolution items: 1. Approve Student Activity Purpose Statements for the 2018-2019 school year: 3

Approve the transfer of $4,000.00 into the Athletic Fund from the General fund for the 2018-2019 school year. 3. Approve the following agreements between the Grand Valley Local School District and the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. Approve the following contracts between the Grand Valley Local Schools and the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center for the 2018-2019 school year. Approve the agreement between Ashtabula County Continued Education Support Services (ACCESS) and Grand Valley Locals Schools for advisory services during the 2018-2019 academic school year (September 2018 through May 2019) in the amount of $12,681.79. 6. Accept the donation of $500.00 from Snow & Ice Management Association for bag stuffing at Symposium to the Boys Soccer Team Fund #300-9220. 7. Accept receipt of grant funds in the amount of $750.00 from the Ashtabula County Mental Health Board for Red Ribbon Week activities to the HS Student Activity Fund #018-9214. 8. Accept receipt of grant funds in the amount of $750.00 from the Ashtabula County Mental Health Board for Red Ribbon Week activities to the MS Student Activity Fund #018-9317. 9.
