Hadi: Iran exploited nuclear deal to export violence, terrorism President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi hailed the US President Donald Trump s decision to withdraw the US from the Iran nuclear deal as the deal failed to protect the vital interests of the United States, and those of the allies and partners of the US in the Middle East, including Yemen. In a meeting with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller in Riyadh on Wednesday, Hadi said Iran had exploited the nuclear deal to export violence and terrorism to the countries of the region and to interfere in the affairs of President Hadi receives German ambassador to our country those countries in line with the Persian state s expansionist agenda. Tueller expressed the US support for Yemen and its government. Vice President stresses on activating security police Vice President Lt. General Ali Mohsen discussed with the command of the military police on Friday latest developments and efforts of activating the role of military police in liberated provinces. He stressed on the role of the police in liberated provinces for boosting military and security forces in keeping security. He urged doubling efforts and training the police and making use of the brotherly support from the Saudi-led Coalition. For his part, the commander of the military police and attending commanders reviewed achievements accomplished in military fields. PM: How to establish the State, this is Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher has stated that the question of nationbuilding is the key issue that the country has been preoccupied with at present. He said: Following September 2014 the State has collapsed. Lecturing at the College of Education in the Archipelagoes of Socotra, Dr Bin-Dagher described the country-reunion in 1990 as one of the most significant decisions that the Yemeni people have ever made in their modern history. The unification of the country in Prime Minister calls Socotris to protect their Island the question? 1990 was a great victory of the Yemeni peoples history and an unprecedented achievement in the country s temporary history, said Bin-Dagher. The Prime Minister noted that Yemen has obtained its own share of change in 2011 when the republican regimes in the Arab World seriously challenged by large-scale popular uprisings. He asserted that Yemen was really in need of change and it has already moved on the path of transformation and reached to positive outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference that produced a notion of Federal-State. Bin-Dagher affirmed that the government is considering the establishment of Socotra University. The Prime Minister was accompanied by several members of his government including ministers of Higher Education, Health, Fishery, two ministers of state and other senior officials of security and intelligence services. Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-daghr has called Socotri people and Members of the People General Congress to protect Socotra Island and its flora and fauna, which were formed thousand years ago, and making awareness activities on the Island. In his meeting with GPC leaders and members and dignitaries in the Island on Sunday, bin-daghr praised the national role of the Socotri people, pointing to activating the party for playing its national role in this sensitive stage. Yemen s political parties and groups have condemned the Emirati deployment of troops in Yemen s Indian Ocean archipelago of Socotra. The People s General Congress, the Yemen Congregation for Reform, the Peaceful Southern Movement, Yemeni al- Rashad Union, the Justice and Building party, al-nahdhaa for Peaceful Change, the Union of Popular Forces and Peace and Development parties issued a joint statement in this regard on Tuesday. The UAE s troop deployment, takeover of the airport and seaport and expulsion of the ports employees took place last Thursday as Prime Minister Ahmed bin-daghr was in a tour in the archipelago inspecting the citizens and laying the foundation stone for development projects. The parties called the unilateral UAE move as contrary to the goals of the PM pays inspection Arab Coalition which, led by Saudi Arabia, aims to reinstate Yemen s internationally recognized government back to power and end the Iran-backed Houthi rebellion. These Emirati steps have led to the militarization of the island, disturbed public peace and triggered massive protests amongst the population, said the statement. Political parties condemn Emirati troop deployment in Socotra their calls with the brotherly leaders of Saudi Arabia, the leading country of the Arab Coalition, to press the UAE to withdraw its forces from Socotra immediately and unconditionally and to defuse the tensions fueled by the UAE in the government-held territories. The political parties expressed their thanks for the brotherly members of the Arab Coalition mainly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their historical stance by the side of the Yemeni people against the Iranian intervention. They called for Saudi Arabia s interference to stop the Emirati practices which don t serve the goals of the Arab Coalition. Yemen welcoms Presdent Trupm decision to withdtaw from Iran nuclear agreement The Republic of Yemen welcomes and supports President Trump s decision to end the United States participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with Iran. Yemen recognizes that the deal failed to protect the vital interests of not only the United Sates but also its partners and allies in the Middle East, including Yemen. The Iranian regime, while benefiting from the JCPOA, has continued, as part of its expansionist malign agenda, to export violence and terrorism to its neighbors in the region. Iran s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been, Supreme Judicial Council relocates Higher Judicial Institute HQ to Aden The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has decided to relocate the headquarters of the Higher Judicial Institute from the Houthi-held capital Sana a to the government-controlled temporary capital, Aden. In decrees issued on Wednesday, the SJC deemed the Sana a institute void and its course of study for a very long time, supporting and arming the Houthis in Yemen with sophisticated missiles and other technologies including military drones, sea mines, and explosive boats, which not only threaten the region s stability but also threaten freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. Yemen calls upon the international community to exert its pressure on the Houthis to heed the United Nations Security Council s resolutions, especially Resolution 2216, and return to the negotiating table in accordance with the agreed upon three references for peace, and on Iran to stop its continued support for the Houthis. Ahmed Al-Maysari held a meeting with Civil Status Authority officials in Aden today and discussed with them the preparation of an electronic civil registry as a project. The meeting discussed the study of the project and its implementation in coordination with the concerned authorities and the experiences of other countries that can be learnt from in this regard. The meeting approved the recommendations of a delegation led by the Civil Status Authority experts to Egypt to draw from the Egyptian experience in this regard. In a separate meeting with the Commander of the 1st Brigade Abdul Ghani Al-Subaihi, minister Al-Maysari discussed the latest developments in the Khaboub warfront, in which the brigade s personnel do a heroic role in battling the Houthi rebel militia. Deputy Premier gets familiar with ICRC Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior Eng. Ahmed Al-Maisari met Tuesday in the interim capital Aden with the mission of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in our country. Al-Maisari welcomed the ICRC delegation, highly appreciating the significant humanitarian role played by the ICRC in different Yemeni regions. He extended his condolences on the martyrdom of the ICRC s official Hanna Lahoud who was killed while on duty in Taiz province by unidentified gunmen. Al-Maisari blamed Houthi militia for creating obstructions to deny humanitarian and relief aids access to the people in need in the militia controlled areas. Ministers Minister of Information Muamer Al-Iryani attended the meetings of the 49th Round of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information which held in Cairo. Minister of Agriculture explores FAO support for Yemeni farmers Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Othman Mujalli met Wednesday in Rome with the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Graziano da Silva. Aspects of cooperation between Yemen and FAO were a key focus of Mujalli s conversations with da Silva. Mujalli highlighted Yemen s need for greater support by the FOA at this critical stage. He called on the FOA to increase support for agricultural sector in Yemen that has been seriously deteriorated. The Minister also voiced Yemen s desire to further cooperation with FAO so that the Yemeni government can manage the food security challenges the country has been struggling with. Mujalli and Silva agreed to coordinate efforts with the UN agencies, donors and international community in order to mobilize more developmental aid to support agricultural sector in Yemen. The head of the Primary Health Care Department in Aden, Dr. Mohammad Rajmanar, told Saba news agency that the teams had given the oral cholera vaccine to 20,546 males,18,080 females and to 7871 children 1-5 years old of both sexes. South Korea provides 17 thousand tons of rice as humanitarian aid Deputy Minister of Local Administration member of Supreme Relief Committee Abdulsalam Abood met Wednesday with the ambassador of South Korea to our country Yak Woung Shul. The meeting aimed to explore a mechanism for distributing the Korean relief aids provided by the government of South Korea to the Yemeni people. The Korean humanitarian aid includes 17 thousand tons of rice provided through the World Food Program (WFP). This shipment of relief aid is expected to arrive in Yemen next month. Abood expressed the Yemeni government s appreciation for the South Korean government and people for supporting Yemen in different fields. The South Korean diplomat noted that the humanitarian aids will be provided in two shipments during the next two months of June and July. Governor of Marib meets with OCHA Governor of Marib province Maj. General Sultan Al- Arradah blamed the UN agencies for maintaining their headquarters in the capital Sana a under the Houthi putschist militia, demanding the UN s organizations and other international agencies to open offices in different Yemeni provinces. The UN s agencies ought to be present in all Yemeni provinces, mainly the government-held provinces so that they can report about the factual situations on the delegation ground, and not as the putschist militia reported to them, said Al-Arrada. Al-Arrad voiced his criticism as he met Monday with a delegation of the UN Office for Coordination the Humanitarian Affairs ( OCHA). The delegation headed by Saba Jowih who is responsible for the humanitarian affairs. The OCHA s delegation visit aimed to get first-hand facts about the humanitarian needs in the province of Marib. Arab Coalition spokesman says top Houthi leaders targeted in presidential palace airstrike The spokesman of the Arab Coalition Colonel Turki al- Maliki said that the Coalition s airstrike on the presidential palace in Sana a on Monday targeted first-grade and secondgrade Houthi leaders. In a press conference later in the day, he said that the strike was in accordance with a confirmed intelligence tipoff. Lately the Coalition has killed the chief of the rebels self-proclaimed Political Council Saleh al- Sammad in a strike. The OCHA delegation, headed by Saba Jowih, inspected the IDPs conditions in several camps established to shelter them in Wadi Thanah in Serwah and the area of Azour. The IDPs are reported to have appealed to the OCHA delegation to report about their needs for basic services, they also asked for demining the landmines the militia planted in their regions. Landmine Action Center launches awareness-raising course in Marib The Executive Center for Landmine Action launched on Saturday an awareness-raising course on the dangers of mines and UXOs in Marib province in coordination with UNICEF and the branch office of Social Affairs Ministry. The course will, over five days, seek to raise the awareness of 30 participants from five of the province s districts in where the militia planted thousands of mines, some of which have left dozens of victims, while most of them are still a danger lying in wait for more victims.
