MINUTES May 24, 2010 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was called to order this 24th day of May, 2010, in meeting room 200 of the Cleveland County Office Building by Chairman Rod Cleveland. Christine Brannon, Chief Deputy Clerk/Secretary, called roll and those present were: Rod Cleveland, Chairman George Skinner, Member Roy Mallory, (Foreman, acting on behalf of Rusty Sullivan, Vice-Chairman) Christine Brannon, Secretary Vice-Chairman Rusty Sullivan was absent. Others present were: David Batton, Sarita Scott, Melinda Duke, Brenda Wakeman, Denise Ellison, David Tinsley, James Tyree, Peggy Laizure, Deborah VanWye, Kandi Almendares and Carter Bandy. George Skinner moved, seconded by Rod Cleveland, to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 17, 2010. The vote was: Rod Cleveland, yes; Roy Mallory, abstain; George Skinner, yes. Upon the request of Brenda Wakeman, Assistant Purchasing Agent, Rod Cleveland moved, seconded by George Skinner, to accept the bids and to table the awarding and/or rejecting of County Bid #HWY-1458 Four-Months (4) Non-Encumbered Contract to provide Materials and Installation of Asphaltic Concrete Base and Surface Coarse (Hot Mix/Hot Laid Asphalt). Page 4 Minutes May 24, 2010 George Skinner moved, seconded by Rod Cleveland, to approve the Customer Lease/Service Agreement Renewal between the Cleveland County Sheriff and Summit Mailing & Shipping Systems, Inc. for equipment, maintenance, meter rental and rate change protection on a Neopost IS-330 with 5lb scale, model IS-330/5lb scale. Agreement lease is for twelve (12) months, renews annually with four (4) renewal options at a rate of $125.28 per month. George Skinner moved, seconded by Rod Cleveland, to approve the Contract between the Cleveland County Health Department and Moore Public Schools to provide instructional services for children enrolled in the Early Foundations program for the Moore Public Schools. Cleveland County Health Department will bill the Contractor at a rate of $10.00 per hour for services on one instructional assistant and $0.50 per mile as per State Travel Reimbursement Act (STRA). Moore Public Schools will reimburse the Cleveland County Health Department on a monthly basis with total charges not to exceed $10,600.00.
