PROPOSED AGENDA REGULAR MEETING OF THE MOBILE COUNTY COMMISSION 10:00 A.M., AUGUST 10, 2009 1) APPROVE minutes of the regular meeting of July 27, 2009. 2) APPROVE list of claims. 3) APPROVE refund for tobacco tax stamps damaged and destroyed, as follows: Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Co. $9,943.30 4) ADOPT United States Citizen or Legal Alien Policy to assign only legal aliens or legal citizens of the United States of America to work on County contractual activities effective October 1, 2009. 5) ADOPT resolution approving request from the Public Works Department to dispose of various office equipment from fixed assets inventory list, declared as surplus property, and authorize items to be disposed of by lawful means. 6) APPROVE leasing the following voting machines to the City of Mobile for their municipal election scheduled to be held on August 25, 2009. The lease cost is $250.00 per machine: Model 100 Ballot Counter/76102B 39 Auto Mark (ADA)87000 19

Strickland Youth Center, Revenue Commission, Animal Shelter, Camps 1, 2 and 3, and the Theodore Oaks Sheriff s Department, on an as needed basis. 8) APPROVE CDP-227-08, contract with Wilmer Volunteer Fire Department, in an additional amount of $5,000.00, from District 2 funds. 9) APPROVE purchase of the following ads: Child Evangelism Fellowship $1,000.00 Mattie T. Blount High School Athletic Boosters Club 150.00 10) APPROVE accepting supplemental Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) funding for the Disaster Recovery Program. 11) ACCEPT grant award from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-R)in the amount of $383,570.00 with no local match, and authorize the President/Vice-President of the Commission to execute all documents associated with this award. 12) APPROVE leasing two additional voting machines to the City of Mobile for their election schools scheduled to be held on August 13, 2009 and August 17, 2009. 13) APPROVE application of Behemoth Inc., for lounge retail liquor, class I, for Ninas Lounge, 7251 Theodore Dawes Road, Suite I J & K, Theodore, Alabama 36582.
