Tribune Broadcasting Stations Win 19 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards Eight Tribune Broadcasting Stations Honored With Regional Awards April 25, 2018 Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce eight of its broadcast television stations have been awarded a total of 19 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association. Tribune Broadcasting s stations were awarded Edward R. Murrow Awards in the categories of Excellence in Reporting,, Hard News, Investigative Reporting, Website, Social Media, Innovation, Writing, Sound and Video. WTVR in Richmond Virginia received nine regional awards this year. The station has received a total of 21 regional Murrow Awards in the last three years and was honored with a national Edward R. Murrow Award in 2015. WITI in Milwaukee received four regional Murrow Awards this year and was also was honored with a national Edward R. Murrow Award in 2015. WQAD in Moline, IL was honored with two awards this year. Also recognized were KDVR in Denver, WHO in Des Moines, KTVI in St. Louis and WTIC in Hartford. The journalists at every Tribune station are dedicated to telling important and compelling stories, while embracing innovation and the opportunity to reach our audiences in new and exciting ways.
