Like the Marines, we are looking for a few good men (generic term used for both male and female). We need someone to take over membership and someone to serve as scholarship coordinator. Frankly, we need new blood and new ideas to keep the club viable. So come on down and help. 3

Minutes of August 9, 2005, General Membership Meeting Danna called the meeting to order. There was no treasurer s report as Mike s in Arizona. Danna announced that the Christmas Party will be December 6, at the Treehouse Italian Grill, the newsletter notwithstanding. The minutes were approved as carried in the newsletter. Al reported that the Picnic was well attended and everyone enjoyed the BBQ and Games! The pictures are in this issue since we didn t have room for them in the last issue. We skipped the Scholarship this year since there were no funds forthcoming. However, Freescale has awarded the club $2500 in 2005 to go towards 2 or 3 scholarships for 2006 Graduates. Will decide how many scholarships will be awarded at next board meeting. Constitution: Jim has sent in a list of corrections to Danna, who will insure consistency throughout the document. The qualification for age 55 membership eligibility now includes tenure at Motorola and Freescale. Constitution approved as is. Many employees are exiting at Sequin. Lou to follow up on contacting Sequin. Changes of address normally should be forwarded to Mike Temple, but Secretary will act in his absence. Guest Speaker: Linda French of the APD Emergency Committee addressed scenarios involving 911 and 311 emergencies.
