Hidalgo Elementary is requesting permission for the 5th graders to attend the Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas on May 23, 2017. 4. The Hidalgo ISD Fine Arts Department is requesting permission to travel over night to Corpus Christi Orange Grove, Texas to compete at the ATSSB All Area State Band Auditions on Friday, January 6-7, 2017. Any students advancing to the All State round will travel to San Antonio on February 8-11, 2017. 5. The Hidalgo ISD Fine Arts Department is requesting permission for the Nuevas Raices Mariachi to travel to San Antonio, Texas to participate in the TAME Mariachi State Competition on February 3-4, 2017 and UIL State Competition on March 10-11, 2017. 6. The Hidalgo ISD Fine Arts Department is asking for permission for students to travel overnight to San Antonio, Texas to compete at the Winter Guard International San Antonio Regional on February 24-26, 2017. No final action will be taken in Executive Session. Public Input Policy: During the meeting, the Hidalgo ISD will allow for an open public forum/ comment period. This comment period shall not exceed one-half hour (1/2) hour in length and each speaker will be allowed a maximum of five (5) minutes to speak. All individuals desiring to address the Hidalgo ISD must sign up to do so, prior to the open comment period. The purpose of this comment period is to provide the public an opportunity to address issues or topics that are under the jurisdiction of the Hidalgo ISD. For issues or topics which are not otherwise part of the posted agenda for the meeting, members may direct staff to investigate the issue or topic further. No action or discussion shall be taken on the issues or topics which are not part of the posted agenda for the meeting.
