[Patent] Patent Patent Requirements: In order to apply and file for a patent in Colombia you need to provide Patent Information, and you need to send to the Attorney the Power of Attorney for Colombia and the Assignment Document if required. Direct National Applications 1. Name and address of the applicant. If it is a Company, place of incorporation. 2. Name, address and citizenship of the Inventor(s). 3. Invention Title, Abstract of the Invention, Utility Model or Design. 4. Invention, Utility Model or Design Text Description (in Spanish). 5. Claims. 6. Final Drawings. 7. A Spanish Translation of the specifications is required. 8. Assignment document if applicant is different than the inventor. Does not need notarization and has to be presented within 90 days. 9. Official certified priority document, including priority number and country of origin (could be claimed if the foreign patent application was filed within a year).
Granting: Twenty(20) years

[Trademark] Filing requirements: In order to apply for a trademark in Colombia you need to provide Information through our Trademark Registration Order Form; you also need to Demonstrate Use and send us a Power of Attorney. - Power of attorney notarized and legalized up to the Colombian Consulate Certified copy of the certificate of incorporation or any equivalent document, notarized and legalized up to the Colombian Consulate. - Certified copy of the priority document duly notarized and legalized up to the Colombian Consulate. - 20 prints of the mark. - Details of the applicant. - Details of the mark. [Design] Filing Requirements: In order to apply and file for a patent Design in Colombia you need to provide Patent Design Information, and you need to send to the Attorney the Power of Attorney for Colombia and the Assignment Document if required. - Application form; - Power of attorney; - Receipt of payments of official fees; - An indication as to the kind of products for which the industrial design will be used, and their international classification. The classification of the Locarno Agreement; - Graphic representation of the industrial design; - As the case may be, a copy of assignment document from the designer to the applicant; - A copy of every application for registration of the industrial design or any other protection certificate that would have been filed or obtained abroad by the same applicant, if any; Granting: -Ten years from filing date
