Union Park Neighborhood Association Newsletter June, 2011

FRANK TALKING! President's Corner - Jerry Frank While our active annual solicitation for donations is winding down, we are thrilled to see that donations to the UPNA continue to roll in. This has been a successful year for our fund raising and I want to offer our sincere thanks to all who have been so generous. If you missed giving this year, it's never too late. You can fulfill your community responsibility by writing a check to: "The Friends of Union Park" where our annual appeal has just begun. The Friends of Union Park (FUP) is a committee of the UPNA. FUP's goal is to raise about $10,000 to maintain and improve the park. The funds raised with this Appeal and Fundraiser are the only source of funding for the park's maintenance and improvement and are only used for these purposes. Checks may be mailed to UPNA, P.O. Box 180750, Boston, MA 02118. Alternatively you can visit our website at www.upna.org and click on the Make a Donation to the Friends of Union Park link and make a donation via our PayPal account. And yet another option is to bring your donation to the "Garden Party" - See Below. The plan is to meet at the park at 8AM and head over to the flower market to select plantings, and then return to dig in to the gardens and spread our favorite front yard in color and quality plantings. I'm hoping we can all be committed and make it for the inevitable and ultimate event of coloring the park. Its about beyond the time and all of our helping hands will make it happen. Please let us all know that you can help out on this upcoming event date!! Thanks for your cooperation in advance. We'll all have greater beauty on account of it!!
