SEA GIRT BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULAR MEETING AGENDA September 28, 2017 1. CALL TO ORDER AND OPENING STATEMENT The September 28, 2017 meeting of the Sea Girt Board of Education is called to order. Advance notice of this meeting was published in accordance with the "Open Public Meetings Act", P.L. 1975, c. 231. Time may be allocated for public comment at this meeting. Each speaker may be allotted a limited time when recognized by the presiding officer. Any individual wishing to address the Board shall be recognized by the presiding officer and shall give their name, address and the group, if any, that they represent. Although the Board encourages public participation, it reserves the right, through its presiding officer, to terminate remarks to and/or by any individual not in keeping with the conduct of a proper and efficient meeting. The Board will not during the public portion of this meeting discuss matters involving employment, appointment, termination of employment, negotiations, terms and conditions of employment, evaluation of the performance of, promotion or disciplining of any specific or prospective or current employee. Dr. Savage: Request permission to pay the Current Final Bills for the month of September 2017, in the amount of $210,368.39. Said list will be filed and made part of the Minutes. 10. Dr. Savage: Request approval of the payroll for the month of September 2017 in the amount of $230,651.44. 11. Dr. Savage: Request approval of the Student Activity/Graduation Account Disbursements for August 2017 as listed in Document Q. 12. Dr. Savage: Request submission of the ESEA Consolidated FY2018 Grant awards of the application to the New Jersey Department of Education as follows: Title IIA: $ 3,143 Title II Part A : $ 10,000 Total Allocation: $ 13,143 13. Dr. Savage: Recommend approval of the 2017-2018 ESY Tuition contract and billing for students from our district who will be attending Manasquan School District in the extended school year. 17. Dr. Savage: Recommend approval of the 2017-2018 Regular Tuition contract and billing for students from our district who will be attending Manasquan School District this year. 18. Dr. Savage: Recommend approval of the 2017-2018 Tuition Contract Agreement for students from our district who will be attending Monmouth County Vocational School District year. 19. Board adoption of the following resolution: RESOLVED: that pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11 the Business Administrator certifies that as of July 31, 2017 no line item accounts have encumbrances and expenditures, which in total, exceed the line item appropriation in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(a). RESOLVED: that pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11, the Sea Girt Board of Education, after review of the Secretary s and Treasurer s monthly financial reports, certifies that no major account or fund has been over expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23. RESOLVED: that the Sea Girt Board of Education accepts the Report of the Secretary, noted in Document D, and the Report of the Treasurer, listed in Document E, for the month ending July 31, 2017. 20.
