Child Support Services: Consider approving out of state travel for Barbi Brokhoff, Director of Child Support Services, to attend the Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement Council (WICSEC) March 11-13, 2015 to attend the 2015 Conference Planning Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas.

Consider accepting the dedication for In-Lieu Parcel Map No. 14-06 (Teri Marie Simas, Patrick M. Simas) into the County Maintained Mileage and authorizing the Clerk of the Board to sign the acceptance on the map. F. Sheriff s Department: 1. Consider approving out of state travel for Senior Deputy Jerry Hunter to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, January 19-22, 2015, to inspect and receive a complete orientation of the new Law Enforcement Airplane before shipment. 2. Consider approving out of state travel for Commander Rick Bradford, Senior Deputy Rod Shulman, Deputy Jerry Hunter, Senior Deputy Eric Johnson, Deputy Wayne Brabant and Deputy Miguel Cortez to Virginia Beach, Virginia, March 7-13, 2015 to attend the 2015 National Interdiction Conference. G. Administration 1. Consider authorizing the Kings County Sheriff s Office to accept 144 bunks donated from Avenal State Prison as part of the Realignment agreement. 2. Consider approving the award of Contract to the firm of Demsey, Filiger & Associates in the amount of $5,000 to perform an actuarial analysis of the County s OPEB liability and authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract for services. Public Works Kevin McAlister/Tim Breshears Consider approving the Burris Park Foundation s request for semi-complete closure of Burris Park and the Foundation s request for a County fee waiver including necessary staff overtime costs for the Taste of the Valley fundraiser on April 25, 2015. Behavioral Health Administration Mary Anne Ford Sherman/Kelly Baker Consider approving the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Three Year Plan Update. Administration Larry Spikes Consider approving an annual schedule for 2015 Board meetings at the regularly scheduled time of 9:00 a.m. every Tuesday except for the specified days around holidays, the employee recognition barbecue and during the week of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) annual meeting. ACTION: APPROVED AS PRESENTED (DV/CP/RV/JN/RF-Aye) V B 12 I. Board Member Announcements or Reports On their own initiative Board Members may make a brief announcement or a brief report on their own activities. They may ask questions for clarification, make a referral to staff or take action to have staff place a matter of business on a future agenda (Gov. Code Section 54954.2a). Supervisor Fagundes welcomed the Sheriff back to work following his back surgery. Supervisor Pedersen stated that he attended a meeting with Assemblymember Salas office and looks forward to moving forward with his new committee assignments. Supervisor Valle stated that he has been busy with phone calls for the Latino Caucus meeting on February 28, 2015 in Sacramento and is looking forward to attending the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Legislative days in Sacramento on May 27-28, 2015. He asked staff to look into how other Counties do their Board committee assignments. Supervisor Neves stated that he attended the CalVans meeting and attended the Agricultural Advisory Committee meeting on January 8, 2015. Supervisor Fagundes stated that he toured the District Attorney s office on January 12, 2015.

Jr. celebration on January 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hanford Civic Auditorium and Kings County Juvenile Reentry Taskforce will be holding public forums and follow up webinars for community input at the following locations and times: Corcoran YMCA on from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and webinar on January 20, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Avenal Veteran s Hall on January 27, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the webinar on February 3, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Hanford Long Field Center Gymnasium on February 16, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and a webinar on February 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. He stated that the Tulare County Water Commission will be hosting a groundwater workshop on February 4, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the Southern California Edison Energy Education Center in Tulare. Information on Future Agenda Items: CAO, Larry Spikes stated the following items would be on a future agenda: Public Works Department item on American Disability Compliance, Human Services Agency and Sheriff s Department Study Session on AB 109, Public Works Department intersection on 5 ½ Avenue and Benecia authorize request for construction bids, County Legislative Platform, Five year Developmental Impact fee study with an undetermined consultant, request for proposal for audit services and awarding the bid in February and Southern California Edison 50 year franchise renewal. Supervisor Neves stated that the PG & E tour set for January 21, 2015 Kings County Fire staff will be attending and any Board member who would like to attend can contact the Fire Department to carpool to the meeting.
