CRIMINAL DOCKET CALL Court will commence at 9:00 a.m. for plea days. All parties are to appear ready to proceed no later than 8:45 a.m. THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2015 COLUMBIA COUNTY CRIMINAL DETENTION FACILITY Each attorney will take whatever steps he feels necessary to be in Court at or before the calling of his cases. Failure to be in Court at that time may result in the Court imposing appropriate sanctions. All Defendants must appear with their respective attorneys at the calling of his case. Each attorney shall proceed to accomplish this in the manner of his choice. A DEFENDANT MAY BE EXCUSED FROM APPEARING ONLY BY THE COURT UPON GOOD CAUSE SHOWN. All pretrial motions must be filed and a copy delivered to the Court pursuant to the Scheduling Order or Trial Notice in the case. Hearings will be deemed waived unless requested in writing. Motions must be accompanied by a brief statement of the legal and factual reasons in support of the pleading including citation relied upon or the pleading will be struck. The State shall prepare all jury instructions and a complete set of verdict forms except those for any affirmative defenses or lesser-included offenses, which shall be prepared by defense counsel. Instructions are to be furnished to the Court at least FIVE (5) five days prior to trial. Witness and exhibit lists MUST be furnished to the court and opposing counsel at least FIVE (5) DAYS prior to trial. Counsel for all cases set after first position are responsible for maintaining contact with counsel in the cases ahead of them for the purpose of ensuring trial readiness in the event cases ahead are settled, pled, continued, etc. Date: February 20, 2015 DAVID W.
