B. Personnel 1. Resignation Recommend acceptance of the following resignation: Jennifer Prater, part-time custodian Effective: January 13, 2017 2. Revised Contract Recommend approval of the following personnel contract, effective 1/16/17 6/30/17: Jennifer Prater Schedule 23, Step 0 From Part-Time (24 hours per week) to Full-Time (40 hours per week) C. Resolutions Recommend approval of the following board resolutions a-n, which will commence and remain in effect from 1/13/17-1/15/18: a. #940-17 Resolution authorizing reimbursement or prepayment by Treasurer for board of education members, administrators, and other school employees for approved expenses incurred at meetings, conventions, etc. b. #941-17 Resolution authorizing the Superintendent to employ temporary personnel, as needed, subject to vote of ratification by the Board. c. #942-17 Resolution authorizing the Superintendent be appointed as Purchasing Agent for the Warren County Vocational School District. d. #943-17 Resolution authorizing the Superintendent or designee to approve attendance for workshops, meetings and conferences for employees and report as such to the Board. e. #944-17 Resolution authorizing the Superintendent and Treasurer to attend meetings of interest on national, state and local levels. f. #945-17 Resolution authorizing the Superintendent to serve as the Board s designee/hearing officer for the purpose of hearing suspension or expulsion appeals, unless the suspension or expulsion is issued by the Superintendent at which time the district s attorney will serve as the hearing officer. g. #946-17 Resolution authorizing Superintendent to accept resignations which have been submitted by employees during times when this Board is not in session, subject to ratification by this Board; provided however, that upon ratification by this Board, such resignations shall be deemed effective as of the date and time of the Superintendent s acceptance. h. #947-17 Resolution authorizing Superintendent to hire staff during times when this Board is not in session, subject to ratification by this Board; provided however, that upon ratification by this Board, such hiring shall be deemed effective as of the date and time of the Superintendent s acceptance. i. #948-17 Resolution authorizing Superintendent to approve step increases for non-automatic salary schedules when recommended by supervisor and if financially feasible. j. #949-17 Resolution authorizing Melissa Solazzo, Director of Human Resource and Joel King, Curriculum Specialist as the district s harassment and discrimination compliance officers for staff. Selected employees shall receive and investigate complaints of harassment and discrimination in accordance with board policy. k. #950-17 Resolution authorizing Kim Gambill, Director of Curriculum and Student Development and Joel King, Curriculum Specialist, as the district s harassment and discrimination compliance officers for students. Selected employees shall receive and investigate complaints of harassment and discrimination in accordance with board policy. l. #951-17 Resolution authorizing Director of Curriculum and Student Development (Kim Gambill) as district s Homeless Coordinator. m. #952-17 Resolution authorizing Superintendent to serve as Board s designee for the suspension of employees without pay, not to exceed three days, for actions that constitute a violation of the Board s written rules and regulations, and/or for inefficiency, dishonesty, immoral conduct, insubordination, neglect of duty, misfeasance, malfeasance, and/or nonfeasance. n. #953-17 Resolution authorizing the superintendent to dispose of miscellaneous and used equipment per BOE policy providing the superintendent has determined the property value is less than $10,000 and the property is no longer needed for school purposes. D. Supplemental Contracts 1. Recommend approval of a supplemental contract for extended time for the following individual: Joel King 10 days (to be used between 6/26/17 7/21/17) 2.
