About The was established under the visionary leadership of Shri Narendra Modiji, by the Govt. of Gujarat in 2009. It is a unique University and irst of its kind in India. The University offers Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in various branches of Police Sciences. Presently, the RSU offers 21 programmes in different areas of Police Science. The students of this University are offered employment opportunities in both Government and corporate entities where they use their skill sets for effective internal security arrangements of the country. The RSU boasts of a high pedigree of faculty in the Departments of Criminology, Forensic Science, Police Administration, Law, Information Technology & Tele-communication, Physical Education & Sports etc. In a short span of 8 years, the RSU has witnessed a dramatic progress both in terms of quality and quantity. It prides itself with having innumerable partnerships with foreign Universities and Indian establishments related with internal security. The RSU is now truly being recognized as the irst and last point for high quality education in all aspects of internal security. The University emphasizes on bridging the gap between academia and ield practitioners, which has proved to be hugely bene icial in day to day functioning of various Police agencies. The RSU houses world renowned technologies like Brain Fingerprinting, Layered Voice Analysis and Video Spectral Comparator. It has developed a niche in the areas of Neurocriminology and Psychometric Pro iling. The RSU strives to attain global standards in all areas where it engages itself. About ICPS 2019 The International Conference on Police Science (ICPS) is conceived as a lagship Conference of Raksha Shakti University (RSU) for catering to the emerging needs of academicians, Police Personnel and other practitioners working in the domain of internal security and policing. The security scenario around the world has brought varied and multifaceted challenges. With a view to ind solutions for contemporary security challenges, the ICPS seeks to draw expertise from the inter-disciplinary ields of Criminology, Forensic Science, Information Technology, Law, and Police Administration. The ICPS would provide an opportunity for the participants to gain new insights into the intricacies of the security issues. The ICPS would also provide a platform for budding researchers to share their ideas, receive feedback and learn from the experience of eminent experts. On the whole, ICPS seeks to blend theory and practice taking into account the expectations of the community vis-a -vis security professionals.
