Hein, the Ulster County Office of Employment and Training is pleased to announce the start of recruitment f our 2014 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). This program provides a paid summer wk experience f youth ages 14-20. The jobs are funded by money received through TANF and they usually last five weeks. The following TANF (Tempary Assistance to Needy Families) criteria must be met in der to participate: Family income being at below 200% of the poverty level OR The family youth receive: Cash public assistance and/ Food Stamps Medicaid HEAP Free reduced school lunch. OR The youth receives: SSI Any youth interested in participating in the SYEP must complete an application and return it IN PERSON BY MAIL to the ULSTER WORKS OneStop Center at 651 Development Court, Kingston NY 12401. Attached to each application must be a copy of the youth applicant s birth certificate and social security card. If you are not a US Citizen, please provide a copy of your green card (front & back), naturalization papers, U.S. Passpt. Faxed e-mailed applications will NOT be accepted, n will applications without above documents. Completed applications are reviewed on a first come/first served basis. Steps are taken to assure that the program reaches youth and employers county-wide. Space is limited, so please get your application in early.
