a. Election of President NOTES: 1. In accordance with School Board Policy #006, the election of the President shall be by a majority vote of the Board Members present and voting. 2. If a nominee is present, the nominee will be asked if he/she consents to being nominated. 3. If a nominee is not present, the member being nominated must have consented to the nomination in advance. 4. Nominations do not need to be seconded. 5. A Board Member may nominate himself/herself. 6. Temporary President will continue to seek nominations for President until there are no further nominations. 7. Temporary President will declare nominations closed when there are no further nominations. Nomination(s) for School Board President to serve from December 5, 2016 through December 4, 2017. The Board Secretary will now take a roll call vote and each Board Member shall cast his/her vote for one of the nominees for the office of President. (Note: All Board Members are eligible to vote for President, including those individuals who are nominated for the office of President.) The School Board may suspend the public comment period after a reasonable amount of time. Profanity, shouting or personal attacks will not be permitted. Please note that the public comment period is intended to provide an opportunity for citizens to address the Board; however, it is not an opportunity to engage in public debate or question and answer dialogue. 3 of 7

Questions or concerns will not be addressed publicly by the Board; therefore, contact information should be provided to the Administration so that the School District can follow-up with citizens concerns following the meeting. 6. Other Reorganization Actions a. Appointment of Solicitor It is recommended to appoint Kegel, Kelin, Almy & Lord, LLP to serve as solicitor from December 5, 2016 through December 4, 2017. b. Appointment of Special Education Counsel It is recommended to appoint Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP to serve as Special Education counsel for 2017. c. Dauphin County Technical School Joint Operating Committee Note: In accordance with the Dauphin County Technical School Articles of Agreement, each member school district shall elect two members and two alternate members to the Dauphin County Technical School at its December organization meeting to serve for a term of one year. It is recommended to elect to serve as a Member of the Dauphin County Technical School Joint Operating Committee from December 5, 2016 through December 4, 2017. School Board Director Resignation It is recommended to accept the resignation of Newton H. Davis as School Board Director effective immediately. b. Appointment of School Board Director It is recommended to appoint Darnell L. Montgomery as a member of the Middletown Area School District Board of School Directors to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Newton H. Davis until December 4, 2017. c. Authorized Signatures It is recommended to authorize the District's depositories to honor all checks that are processed using the facsimile signatures of the President, Treasurer and Secretary holding office prior to tonight's meeting until such time as new paperwork can be processed to establish facsimile signatures for the change in officers with the depositories. 6 of 7
