RESOLUTION NUMBER 2018-34 APPROVING THE RE-PLAT OF SUBLOT 5-A OF HOSPITALITY COURT SUBDIVISION & BLOCK A OF SIDLEY INDUSTRIAL PARK IN AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP WHEREAS, the original plat of Industrial Park Subdivision was platted in July 29, 2002. Sublot 4 was replatted in 2006 and Sublot 2 was replatted in 2011; and Sublot 5 was replatted as Hospitality Court in 2016; and WHEREAS, Bucyrus Lodging Inc. proposes to replat Sublot 5A in Hospitality Court and Block A in Sidley Industrial Park Subdivision to create sublots 5A1 and reduce the size of Block A; and WHERAS, Sublot 5A contains 0.835 acres and as proposed Sublot 5A-1 will contain 1.396 acres. Bock A currently contains 0.75 acres and will be reduced to 0.171 acres; and WHEREAS, the proposed replat of Block A and Sublot 5A does not entail the extension or establishment of additional right-of-way or public infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the essential and basic elements of this proposed Plat application are summarized as follows: The restriction for transfer of Block A is removed. The use of Block A is restricted to signage for Sidley Industrial Park businesses. Block A is being reduced in size with the area going to Sublot 5-A, creating Sublot 5-A1. WHEREAS, this board would agree to the replat, as outlined above; now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Commissioners of Ashtabula County, Ohio, that the replatting of Sublot 5-A of Hospitality Court Subdivision & Block A of Sidley Industrial Park in Austinburg Township is approved. MOTION: Ducro moved the adoption, Whittington seconded. DISCUSSION: None RESOLUTION NUMBER 2018-35 ACCEPTING THE GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION FEDERAL-AID PROJECT AGREEMENT, UNDER CEAO SAFETY STUDIES FY 2018, PID 106861, ENGINEER S OFFICE WHEREAS, Tim Martin, Ashtabula County Engineer, has presented a request to accept a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation, as follows: Scope: a Horizontal Curve Safe Speed Safety Study which consists of gathering the necessary data to safe speeds on horizontal curves over the County Highway System of 355.065 miles. Funding: $33,755.85 Federal funding (90%) $3,750.65 MVGT (10%) Term: Project must be complete by September 30, 2018 establish WHEREAS, the project is administered through an LPA agreement with ODOT and is contingent upon approval from ODOT; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Commissioners of Ashtabula County, Ohio, that the grant for funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation is hereby approved, as outlined above. RESOLUTION NUMBER 2018-36 APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH CENTURYLINK COMMUNICATIONS, LLC FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF CISCO ROUTERS FOR THE DISPATCH CENTER Scope: WHEREAS, Mike Fitchet, Director of EMA, has presented an agreement for the approval of the Board, to-wit: Installation and maintenance of Cisco Routers for the dispatch center Provider: CenturyLink Communications LLC, PO Box 52124, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2124 Cost: Not to Exceed $4,547.47 Term: Retroactive to January 3, 2018 to January 2, 2023; now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Commissioners of Ashtabula County, Ohio that the agreement as noted above is approved in accordance with the copy now on file in this office. RESOLUTION NUMBER 2018-37 APPROVING FIRST MONTHLY MEETING OF THE ASHTABULA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, On August 5, 1998, Section 305.06 of the Ohio Revised Code was changed to allow the Board of Commissioners to hold regular sessions of the Board at a location in the county other than the office provided for the Board in the County Seat; and WHEREAS, since that change in the law, the Board of Commissioners has decided to hold regular meetings in various locations throughout the county in order to be more accessible to all citizens; and WHEREAS, below is a list of the place, time and date for the 1 st meeting for 2018: January 30, 2018 Ashtabula City Council offices, Main Ave., WHEREAS, the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a public comment period, and the Agenda portion of the meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m; and meeting; now WHEREAS, the Board welcomes and strongly encourages members of the general public to attend this THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Commissioners of Ashtabula County, Ohio that we do hereby approve the first regional evening meeting for calendar year 2018.

Casey Kozlowski- 21 st Century Railroad Ashtabula group has a petition who wants to restore the Ashtabula depot on 32 nd Street. Decision: do a support letter of their efforts. The letter should include support of CSX and Amtrax establishing a stop there. Jim Kemmerle wants a meeting with Strollo to discuss their findings. Set up executive session. Contact Sean O Brien set up time to discuss the capital bill. MV transportation contracts not signed, but approved at a Commissioner meeting. Waiting for ACDJFS to respond. Judge Sezon- set up a time to discuss the grant. Probation office space was discussed. Kathryn Whittington- attended the BOR meeting yesterday. Alternate should be a county employee, our alternates list Casey, J.P. and Janet. Data Board-social media policy has become a problem, facebook on cell phones, etc. Planning Commission Martha Demshar resigned. Museum of Natural History- support ltr. The grant is due January 26.
