From the President Once again we have to call another Special Meeting to cover the Treasurers Report held over from 2014 AGM. At the AGM for 2014 the Treasurers report was not passed. I then called for a Special Meeting to be held in February 2015 to cover the Treasurers report and this time once again not passed due to members not receiving the treasurers report via email or normal mail before the Special meeting in February 2015. I have now called another Special Meeting to cover just the Treasurers Report held over from the AGM back in 2014. This time you will receive the Treasurers Report via email or normal mail in the newsletter in time for members to read the report before the next Special Meeting on Monday 2 nd March starting at 7.30pm. After this Special Meeting we will then start the normal General Meeting. If you have any questions regarding the Treasurers Report on the night of Monday 2 nd March please leave your questions until after the Treasurers Report has been read out. The committee felt because of the time taken for this Special Meeting our Guest Speaker for the night is to be postponed and another date TBA for Kylie Stocks. Talking of Kylie Stock s, Kylie has invited our Orchid club to her open day which is to be held on Saturday 7 th March 2015 at her place, Kylie grows and sells fern s. If you wish to go we are meeting at 10am at the corner King s Highway and the Western Distributor. Please bring your own lunch and drinks, also your chairs.

Once again we do have Bunning s BBQ coming up on Monday 30 th March 2015. We will require 1 name for the morning 8.30am to 11.30am, and we will require 3 names for 11.30am to 2.30pm. If we do not receive names to fill these times we will have to cancel. Point System for Benched Plants. First place in each section Second place Third Plant of the night 3 points. 2 points. 1 point. 4 points. If there are two or more Plant of the night, these plants will all receive the same points for the Plant Of The Night. All the points are added up and at the end of the year the winners in each section will receive one small orchid. How to vote for the benched orchids, if you are not too sure just ask somebody to help fill out the form. All orchid plants and fern and foliage are to be benched by 7pm, this is the close of time. Please do not start voting until 7pm Annual fees are due, please pay Margaret. Our very best wishes to those recovering from illness, operations and broken bones. Thanking You. Robert Fish President. Minutes for Batemans Bay Orchid & Foliage Soc. Monday 2 nd February Club meeting 2015 Special Treasurers report carried over from November AGM meeting 2104 Treasurer Margaret Turner read out the revamped AGM treasurer report that was carried over from the 2014 AGM where it was moved to be left in abeyance until redone for February meeting in 2015. The new report was challenged by a club member as having insufficient information in it and not enough copies available for all members to read and be informed enough to make the right decision when voting to pass the report. President Robert Fish moved the Treasurer Report cease now and before the next Club meeting a full copy will be sent out to all members via clubs newsletter 2 nd by Magda Smyth AGM treasurer report left in abeyance until March 2nd 2015 special meeting President Robert Fish opened the club meeting at 7.45pm Apologies; Norm Kemp, Matt Janjak Valerie Dundas, Secretary s report, November 2014 Club meeting minutes have been circulated, moved they be accepted Ron Boyd, 2nd Sylvia Hawkins, accepted on the voices! Treasurer Margaret Turner read out the report and copies of statement were available for members. Treasurer Margaret Turner moved Treasurers Report be accepted, 2 nd, Kate Willis. GENERAL Business

Item 1; President Robert Fish spoke on the upcoming Eurobodalla Orchid clubs workshop at Tuross Head in March 2015. Item 2: President Robert Fish spoke on the formation of Conference subcommittee to deal with the upcoming conference in October 2015, Members Sue & Rob Fish, Peter & Annette Stubbs, Maureen Miller meeting at 2pm 12 th February at Robert Fish home. Item 3: President Robert Fish moved a motion to combine the Australian Native show with the Conference on October long weekend, 2 nd Peter Stubbs, passed on the show of hands. Item 4: President Robert Fish spoke on the Bunning gift voucher the club were buying and giving out to workers who worked at Bunnings BBQ, Club shows etc., through a lucky draw, the committee had voted the giveaway of such vouchers be stopped. President Robert Fish said there was still one voucher to be given to Mitch Karnaghan. Item 5: President Robert Fish spoke on the new lot of Bunning BBQ days, now were running over 5 days during the week, Robert called for volunteers for the Bunning BBQ. Item 6: Tony Groube spoke on why the annual rewards in the 2014 plants benched each month competition were not handed out as what is usually done at the Christmas party. President Robert Fish said he was over worked and no paper work came in so he decided it would not be done, but it would be looked at next committee meeting and printed in the March newsletter. Tony Groube asked the President could the rules for plant of the night competition be looked at and also printed in the March Newsletter as well so all new members could be informed. Item 7: Treasurer Margaret informed members of the new policy regarding Grumpys Shed stock placed into the monthly raffles, the money will be taken out of the raffle profits and give back to Grumpys shed. Item 8: - Guest speaker for this month Alan Stephenson, Alan did a wonderful job on explaining how he re-pots his Dend speciosums by trimming off all the plants roots and hanging it until new roots started to grow from the base and then he places it back in the pot with his favourite mix. Coffee Break President Robert Fish drew the raffles, congratulations to all the lucky winners Lucky door prize of $25 voucher from Batehaven Garden Plus nursery, winner is Jillian Richards Being not further business, President Robert Fish closed the meeting down at 9.25pm; Ron Boyd Secretary 18/2/2015 1 Speaker at last Meeting

South & West Regional Show Sub Committee Minutes of meeting held at 169 George Bass Drive Surf Beach at 2:00pm on 12 February 2015. The President (Rob Fish) of Batemans Bay Orchid and Foliage Society opened the meeting and welcomed all for attending. Attendees Peter & Annette Stubbs, Rob & Sue Fish, Margaret Turner, Jim & Megan Quinlivan, Leanda O'Connor & Maureen Miller. Apologies were received from Ron Boyd. As this subcommittee is just starting Robert Fish advised that all positions on the subcommittee were vacant and called for nominations. Chairperson was accepted by Robert Fish (Leanda nominated him and this nomination was carried by all present) Treasurer was accepted by Margaret Tuner (Nomination was Carried by all present) Secretary was accepted by Peter Stubbs (As there was only one written nomination for this position the nomination was carried by all present) Show Marshall was accepted by Peter Stubbs (Nomination was Carried by all present) Deputy Show Marshall TBA Committee Sue Fish, Annette Stubbs, Jim Quinlivan, Megan Quinlivan, Leanda O'Connor & Maureen Miller. General Business There was a general discussion in regard to the Conference Notification that had been posted on the website and the unapproved detail contained within the notification. Set up times for the displays etc and it was decided to start at 12pm given most of the visiting societies were travelling in excess of 100 klm in order to display. General information contained in the document needs to be confirmed and Peter is to contact all Vendors and Speakers to confirm their attendance and acceptance of their agreement with the society prior to the next meeting. Vendor charge is $250.00 for the show (4 Tables). A 10% deposit is also to be requested from the vendors. Peter also suggested that the document needs to be formatted better after all the information has been confirmed. Also a flyer needs to be prepared for advertising purposes at upcoming shows. Peter was requested to visit Mogo Nursery with the view of seeking their interest in having a sales area at the conference. Peter is also to visit Batehaven Nursery seeking their interest in having a sales area at the conference. Sponsorship of the conference was discussed and an Introduction letter needs to be drafted for approval prior to seeking sponsorship from local businesses. Break for Afternoon tea at 3 :20 pm. Meeting recommenced at 3:55pm. Discussion was then held in regard to the show Schedule detail. Peter provided a sample of how the show schedule should be constructed and what Champion prizes could be considered. Leisa Taque from Eurobodalla Shire Council is to be invited to the next meeting to discuss Event funding grant.
